A Word from Our Directors at REACH The 2015 / 2016 volleyball club season has been a tremendous year for REACH. We know you have a choice in club volleyball and are thankful for the parents, players and families that joined us on this journey. We added 10 teams, 109 athletes, 24 coaches to the REACH roster this season competing both regionally and nationally on behalf of the Puget Sound Region and USA Volleyball in the area. This is our third year of continuing REACH Cares and had quite a few players and families join us for another successful packing event for Feed My Starving Children in January. We were able to pack 289 boxes of food which equates to 62,424 meals that helped feed 171 kids for an entire year. This was our third year running the REACH Little Spikers program for our U10/U11 athletes. Our Little Spikers program focus is on developing a passion for volleyball in young athletes and growing the game. There will definitely be some talented volleyball players coming out of this group. Through this group, we were also able to run the first ever REACH Boys Program for four weeks and ended up competing in the Dominoes Invitation Classic. We had 4 teams compete in the Puget Sound Region Bid Tournament (our U13 Green, U14 Green, U16 Green and U17 Green team), which is a huge accomplishment, and we congratulate them on competing with the top teams in the region. One of the major highlights for us was to watch many of our teams work hard each week in practice and improve which resulted in many victories on and off the court. Many of them would move up flights each month at each Power League, and we are very proud of each accomplishment. We also had several teams perform well on Day 1 and Day 2 of several national qualifiers and get to compete in the gold brackets on Day 3. We are very proud of what we have accomplished this season and have had an incredible amount of support in our fourth year. Thank you! We could not have done it without you and all the support. Last but not least, we think we need to say thank you to all our coaches. They have done a fantastic job of juggling all the things that come along with managing a team week in and week out whether it be at practice or during tournament play. They have steadily devoted themselves to their teams and committed their time, effort, and enthusiasm for the past several months. Finally, we sincerely hope that everyone in this yearbook looks back at the past season and is incredibly proud of what you have accomplished. Thanks again,
Sean Draper & Jessica Mays

"The group of girls I had the opportunity to coach during my first club season at Reach treated me, my assistant, and each other with genuine respect each and every day. Now THAT is true character. The entire season was a highlight for me as they showed what it really is to work hard for what you want, and to play with a love for the game that is relentless. PROUD COACH RIGHT HERE!"
“The highlight of my season with the girls was being able to experience the excitement of a great play, a zero tempo kill, an amazing block, and the "ah-ha moments" that all of the girls had when everything came together and clicked. They are such a hardworking group of girls who are dedicated not only to the game, but to themselves, as well as their teammates.

"The highlight of my season was being able to walk into REACH as a brand new coach to the club and coach such an amazing group of athletes. It is hard to pin point one highlight when you have a long season of highlights. Every tournament, every practice, and every agility the girls put their heart and soul into this sport. This team was truly a family, they had each other’s backs, and they fought and never gave up. Thank you for making this season amazing."
“For our team, I think that the whole season is a highlight, because every single one of our players improved so much since the start of our season.”

"The highlight of our season was the Vegas tourney. The girls came together and had a huge turning point to play as one unit. They came together as a team and competed at the highest level, by trusting one another and feeding off each other's energy!"
“When I look back on the season, my mind is filled with snapshots of each of the girls attaining and then beating their goals and rival opponents, while never fearing the challenge of being better than they were.
"My favorite highlight of the year was our last tournament. Being that it was the last time some of our girls would step on the court together as a team, the raw love and passion for the game was evident throughout the matches."
