The ABSORBICA fall arrest lanyards are available as single and double leg lanyards and are ANSI Z359.13 and *CSA Z259.11 compliant, depending on the connectors used. The integrated absorber provides energy absorption in a fall, which limits the impact force on the user.

Progressive energy absorption adapted to the user’s weight

Compact energy absorber in an abrasion resistant pouch

Different connectors for different anchor points

In case of a fall, the tearing of the energy absorber webbing limits the impact force on the user. The lanyards are designed for users who weigh between 60 and 140 kg*. The progressive tearing of the webbing reduces the deceleration forces on lightweight users.

The energy absorber is very compact, to avoid hindering the user’s movements or interfering with handling. A durable fabric pouch helps protect the energy absorber from abrasion and potential contaminants.

Aluminum connectors (Bm’D) or steel connectors (OXAN TL, VULCAN TL) allow for connection to lifelines or to single anchor points. MGO connectors allow for connection to metal structures or to large-diameter cables and bars.

*Under the CSA Z259.11 standard, the user must weigh between 70 and 140 kg

ASAP & ASAP LOCK KITS Petzl’s pre-assembled ASAP and ASAP LOCK vertical lifeline kits are certified to meet the ANSI Z359.15* standard and designed to keep those that work-at-height safe. In case of a slip or fall, the ASAP or ASAP LOCK mobile fall arrester locks onto the RAY rope arresting the user and stopping the fall. The ASAP’SORBER provides energy absorption, and limits impact forces accordingly to the user’s weight and fall distance. Applications and Examples

*For ANSI Z359.15 compliance, the ASAP and ASAP LOCK kits must be used with a RAY 11 mm rope (sold separately)

DOUBLE MODE USE

SINGLE MODE USE

The GRILLON, GRILLON PLUS, and GRILLON HOOK lanyards can be used in double mode (on the harness side attachment point) when the user works with weight on their feet. This type of attachment ensures better load distribution on the belt. The user precisely adjusts their position by pressing on the lanyard’s pivoting cam.

When the anchor is located above the user, the lanyard is connected to the harness ventral attachment point or seat, so that the load is comfortably distributed between the belt and leg loops. The user adjusts their position by operating the handle while holding the free end of the lanyard.
