From the Collection This gas pump was installed at Croom airfield in the 1940s and remained on the property for decades after the airfield closed. The Wayne Model 60 was introduced in 1935 and displayed both the volume of fuel pumped and what the customer owed. The Cloud Club may have used the Wayne pump because it was advertised as the most accurate gas pump available. As one of the few surviving artifacts from the airfield, the Museum is embarking on a stabilization and restoration project to maintain and permanently display the pump.
