Pro 3
Ultra Low Power Management Settings – as low as 3ma at 12 volts. The Pro 3 uses the latest state of the art technology to give class leading
performance from the ultra-high sensitivity 50 channel GPS with a location accuracy of 2.0 meters while still being able to eke out every milliamp of available power. The incredibly effective Power Management system uses a combination of multiple inputs, and a 3-axis accelerometer to manage power requirements, this can be as low as 3ma (at 12 volts).
High capacity built in 1000mAh backup battery Many “tracking devices” use backup batteries with a capacity of between 200 and 300mAh, the high capacity 1000mAh gives between 3 and 5 times this! This is one of the major difference between a tracking device being used for “tracking” and another being used for SVR – Stolen Vehicle Recovery. When or next time the chips are down, these little advantages make all the difference.
Unique multi network roaming communications Most company’s use either radio (which only works in the UK and parts of France and takes ages to recover vehicles - they need the specialist police cars) or a SIM card from one of the 3 major UK telecoms companies, 02 (Telefónica o2), Vodafone, Orange / T-Mobile (both provided by EE). If we take an SVR unit with, say, a Vodafone SIM, it is locked to the Vodafone network while it is in the UK. It may have a provision to roam (access other networks) when outside the UK, but here in the UK its stuck with Vodaphone signal is available on it’s network. This means that the SVR unit may struggle to communicate until it moves its geographical locations and is able to acquire a better signal.
Pro 3 Phantom understands this problem and its impact on SVR systems that are used in Caravans and Motorhomes (vehicles that are deliberately taken to quiet, secluded and beautiful corners of Europe) and has developed a solution. No matter where you are the Pro 3’s SIM card locks onto the best signal it can get, regardless of the supplier!
Latest Thatcham accreditation – Thatcham Cat 6 Thatcham are a world renowned British company that has helped shape the cars we drive, both in a physical sense and from a security prespective. For over two decades Thatcham has, with the support of the Police, Home Office, Insurance and Commercial Sector – companies like Phantom, strived to make our cars both safer and more secure. It’s safe to say we have all had some success, today we have around 1/6th of the crime reported at its peak in the 90’s – it could easily be argued that most of this is down to Thatcham Cat1, Cat2 etc., all the way through to the latest Cat5 and current Cat6 products from companies at the forefront of this technology like Phantom. Although this success is very encouraging it’s not the whole story, it’s true that the actual number of thefts has reduced, but this is to a large extent down to almost eliminating casual and opportunist thefts – we still have the professional and career criminal to deal with. This is where the Phantom Pro3 Thatcham Cat6 product excels – demonstrated by the impressive recovery times – Phantom average about 70 minutes, and the insurance premium discounts offered by virtually all insurance companies.
Pro 3
Unique Customer Web portal and Mobile “apps” giving daily location Battery status and history.
This unique service offered by Phantom not only gives customers extra piece of mind, with them being able to see the location of their Caravan or Motorhome, but its also gives important battery information. Motorhomes and Caravans have developed over the past 100 plus years to become a true “home from home” with all the modern conveniences of a very nicely appointed flat or apartment – the only possible issue being electrical power. We are still using, on the whole, lead acid type batteries that haven’t changed much in this time. This is where Phantom are again at the forefront, with the highly sophisticated battery management, and unique battery status and reports. This enables Phantom customers to get the best out of their SLI (Start, Lights and Ignition) or Leisure batteries good battery maintenance can more than double the life, and thus half the cost of battery purchases over the years.
Global coverage with the latest “quad band” telecommunications module. Put quite simply, the system will work (optimally - roaming on any network) anywhere in the world where there is mobile phone coverage.
