Glory Worldwide Holdings Ltd is the major shareholder of Glory Technology, holding 80% of the share capital. The remaining 20% was acquired in 2003 by the National Greek Lottery Organization OPAP SA, whose proposal for strategic cooperation was accepted by Glory Worldwide Holdings in return for a consideration of 10 million euros. OPAP SA is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of 10 billion euros. Their participation as a strategic shareholder in Glory Technology further strengthens the company’s position, providing additional credibilit y and securit y in the international market. Since 2003, Glory Technology has been successfully supplying integrated turnkey solutions to a subsidiary of OPAP SA.

This has enabled the company to establish the UGS system (Universal Game System) as an internationally active platform. UGS is owned 100% by Glory Technology, including all software code.

H T 2004 Following an agreement signed between Glory Technology and public company Multirama SA, Glory Technology successfully completed the installation of the UGS system at the Olympic Lottery of Uzbekistan, with a central system and the first three hundred of a total installation of one thousand UGS terminals.

Development and growth

Glory Technology began the implementation of the first part of an installation of the UGS system for fixed odds numerical games and risk management applications in the UK.

2003 Glory Technology obtained official licensing from the Ministry of Finance in the Republic of Cyprus to install and operate the UGS system in Cyprus – the first company to gain such a license in relation to integrated turnkey solutions for games of chance. This followed an exhaustive selection and approval process which lasted eighteen months and involved many departments of the Ministry of Finance including audit and IT committees. The company began the supply and installation of UGS systems in Cyprus to OPAP GLORY, a subsidiary company of OPAP SA, as part of a signed agreement valid until 2010 with an option for 3 more years. This includes integrated turnkey solutions with a central system and UGS terminals, for games of fixed odds and risk management services.

The company was awarded the Cyprus Export Merit for Services for the year 2004, conferred at a special ceremony by the President of the Republic of Cyprus H.E. Mr Tassos Papadopoulos.

2006 Glory Technology fully launched its services into the UK market with a high-impact and highly acclaimed stand at the Betting Show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. Glory Technology now has an active installed customer base in Cyprus, Uzbekistan, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Moldova and UK.

Inbuilt protection for high security

UGS terminals have an array of built-in security and protection features. These include fingerprint security to prevent unauthorized access, a security locking mechanism to prevent access to internal components, secure and monitored user authorization via unique password, and terminal authorization that uniquely identiďŹ es each machine in each shop.

Integrated turnkey solutions The UGS family of terminals are at the very forefront of technological performance and low operating cost.
