Our Secondary School, meanwhile, takes great pride in its staff, from the administrative all the way through to its educational staff. Teachers work hard to help students achieve the highest standards possible, by entering competitions in an array of subjects and triumphing in many, including the International Transparency Competition, with six wins in poetry and drawing, second place in the Lions’ Peace Poster Competition, third place in the UCLan Science Fair debate, excellent participation and best delegate in the Athens Model UN competition and second place in the Cyprus Post Letter Writing Competition, with many more still awaiting results. Throughout the academic year, in an effort to spread awareness and acceptance, we participate in various charities including the Radiomarathon, the Limassol Marathon, Anti-Cancer Society events, Tree-Giving ceremonies where families from our Primary and Kindergarten buy Christmas toys or
clothes for children in need - as well as creating special days throughout the year to raise money for various other charities. All American Academy staff strive to create an environment in which all students can succeed and prosper, in surroundings that combine different cultures, religions and beliefs, creating a wonderfully diverse community.
Acceptance and tolerance are important lessons that we strive to instil in all our students through our educational system

Innovative and student-centred Through the innovative ‘Intelligence Development Programme’, designed to help every student achieve their full potential, Forum gives students’ guardians a revolutionary choice for their children’s education. This programme aims at developing students’ language and logical-mathematical reasoning through coordinated and targeted courses, improving academic results and ensuring the effectiveness of teaching.
Forum Athletic Department Fo r u m a l s o o p e r a t e s a s p e c i a l i s e d A t h l e t i c Department, currently focusing on football, in collaboration with the Cyprus Football Association. More sports will gradually be incorporated in the future. The Athletics Programme gives the gifted student-athletes the chance to develop their skills under specialised professional coaching, while being supported academically at the same time. Following a student-centred approach, the School aims to secure students’ academic success and help them develop into confident and independent young adults, who will eventually become conscientious citizens. Its philosophy is summed up by the school’s Latin motto: “confide viribus tuis”, which means “believe in your strengths”. The students attend, apart from the analytical programme, scientific or professional-level organised seminars (electives) on a regular basis.

ISOP careers support Our Careers Department advises Secondary School students about access to higher education, professional training and the world of work. This includes applications to British universities (through UCAS), as well as universities in other European countries, the US (via the Fulbright Commission) and other parts of the world. Our careers advisers also aim to promote the personal development of our students and enhance their research skills. Graduates of ISOP study at prestigious universities, mainly in Britain, such as the London School of Economics, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, University College London, Manchester and Glasgow universities, as well as universities in Cyprus, Germany, the US, Canada, Australia, Russia, Switzerland and Dubai.
Achievements Our students frequently win prestigious awards from Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), proving their academic excellence. In the last two years, our pupils received High Achievement Awards in IGCSE Art & Design, Dutch, Greek, German and Physical Education, as well as AS-Level History AS and A-Level Economics.
Departments The International School of Paphos caters for children at Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary Levels. The school curriculum, though modelled on the English National Curriculum, is enhanced to meet the requirements of the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture, and those of its multicultural student body. Through IGCSE examinations, AS and A Levels and its recognised School Leaving Certificate (Apolyterion), which is awarded to ISOP graduates, students are afforded the skills and qualifications they need for their future academic
and professional careers. The school also offers afternoon lessons at its Private Institute.
