Nowadays, half of the medium-size cities of France are experiencing an identity crisis through spatial, social and economical growing weaknesses. This worrying situation is directly questioning their own future : will they rebound or slowly and simply disappear?
Betting on a rebound, I introduce a landscape design transformation methodology, 'LARGE', to generate large-scale, coherent, circular and socially rooted identities for these cities. Here, I acted in Vierzon - a city I knew quite well already - and its valley landscape, creating a flood-resilient, attractive and active land- and cityscape, changing its paths from deprecation to a new fascination.
