Putting Fun Into Your Work Out Even though exercise is work, it definitely does not have to be drudgery. In fact, exercise can be a lot of fun if you choose to make it that way. Exercising is a great way to keep your body healthy and may help you avoid expensive and painful surgeries in future years. When you have committed to work with a friend it is not nearly as easy to stay in bed because you know the other person is waiting for you. In addition, you will be able to catch up on news, talk, and enjoy each other’s company as you work out. This will help distract you from how tired or sore you may be. Of course, you will want to make sure that you pick someone who you can talk easily to and who you are confident will stay motivated to exercise. The more fun you can have with this person, the more fun exercising will be. The second thing you may want to do is work out with a group of people.


Join a Group This group may be several people you know or several people you do not know. Working out in an exercise group can be a great way to meet new people. One way to join a group of new people is to take an exercise class. A instructor usually leads these classes and can give you pointers on things that you should do and things that you should not do. In addition, you are usually responsible in some way for either showing up or not showing up. The commitment to attend class can help you stay motivated to go. In addition, you will not be as painfully sore because you will have someone there to tell you when you are doing it wrong. This can also make working out much more enjoyable. Of course, you will want to make sure that you find an instructor who is very knowledgeable in the activity you have chosen and who is very enthusiastic about doing it. A good way to decide whether or not the instructor is a good one is to watch to see how many of the participants in the class go up to him or her and talk to him or her about various things. The more people who can easily talk to the professor, the better he or she probably is in making the class fun. The third thing you may want to try is playing something.

Play There is a big difference between doing something and playing something. In general, you do not ‘do’ basketball, you ‘play’ it instead. Play is generally used with activities that are thought of as more fun. In general, they are usually activities that require interaction with other people. There are many different types of sports. They can very effectively distract you from what you are doing and before you know it, you may be done working out. This option may be the one that you will want to choose if you do not enjoy exercising with other people on a regular basis.
