BLUEPRINT for Windows 7
1. Click the Start button, then select Devices and Printers. 2. At the top of that screen, click Add a printer. (at left) 3. It will then ask: “What type of printer do you want to install?” Click Add Local Printer. 4. The next screen will ask you to choose a printer port. Click the radio button next to Create a new port, then choose Standard TCP/IP Port from the dropdown menu. 5. Click Next. On the next screen next to Hostname or IP address, type the printer’s hostname: Gw-studentprinter, Paresky-studentprinter or Samphil-studentprinter.
6. Click Next. On the next screen, install the printer driver. Under Manufacturer, select HP, then look for HP laserjet 600 M601 M602 M603 PCL6. Click Next again. 7. On the next screen, name it whatever you would like - GW Central Services Lobby, for example. Then click Next. 8. The next screen deals with Printer Sharing. Select Do not share this printer. Click Next to add your printer, and repeat for any of the other BLUEPRINT printers you wish to use. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Techmasters.
