Sauce Andover Craft Wing & Burger Co. is now spicing up downtown Andover’s culinary experience with its crispy naked wings and mouthwatering burgers. Sauce prides itself on classic American comfort foods with a contemporary twist. Its specialty menu includes the Fat Kid Burger, a fantastically messy brioche burger stuffed with a variety of toppings, and the Stay Gold Pony Boy, a serving of deep-fried wings doused in a sweet peanut satay sauce and honey. “When we first had the idea for [Sauce], we wanted a place that anyone can go to, whether you’re students or young executives. We wanted a place where you would want to spend good quality time eating good food with good company,” said Sauce’s manager Spiro Pappadopolous. Sauce is located on 19 Essex Street and is open between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. This burger joint accomodates dine-in, take-out and online orders.

Pipe Dream Cupcakes The “bakery-on-wheels” concept comes to Andover with Pipe Dream Cupcakes, a truck selling sugary cupcakes around the Merrimack Valley. Pipe Dream Cupcakes currently serves a variety of cupcake flavors, including traditional red velvet, s’mores, snickerdoodle and Nutella. “I bake all of the cupcakes each morning. I load up the truck and then I hit the roads of Andover and North Andover. All of the ingredients are fresh and there are no trans fats or shortening in my cupcakes. Selling my cupcakes out of a food truck enables me the opportunity to meet all of my customers and get to know them,” said Nadine Levin, founder of Pipe Dream Cupcakes, in an email to The Phillipian. Pipe Dream Cupcakes hit the road this past June. The truck is often located near the Town Hall on Main Street. Open Wednesday through Saturday, the truck’s location and hours can be found on Pipe Dream Cupcakes website: www.pipedreamcupcakes.com.
