Just publlished - The score of Alastair Wheeler's splendid wind band arrangement of a bright and breezy concert march by Yorkshire composer, conductor and teacher Wilfred Heaton (1918 - 2000).
Heaton intended this march for The Salvation Army when he composed it for brass band in the 1940s or early 1950s. Four decades after that he revised it, altering the references to a Salvation Army tune, for the Tewit Youth Band (Harrogate. It was published in 2001 and has become a popular addition to the concert repertoire.
This version for wind band is the first of a number of arrangements being released in Heaton's centenary year.
