Howdy is a brand that helps new SCAD International Students get familiar with Savannah. It will be given to new students during the SCAD international orientation. The kit, including a map brochure and i-Pod application, relieves the pressure and nervousness that comes from culture differences. When new students come to Savannah, the only transportation they have are their “feet“ so, I designed the walking distance map, which are categorized based on 5 minutes and 10 minutes. The Howdy brochure shows the details of zoom-in colored zones. Each zone is categorized into 3 sections, which are restaurant, shopping, and free bus. Howdy uses graphics and international icons instead of complicated instructions so that users can easily understand.
