elcome to All Saints’ Summer 2013!

All Saints’ Summer Camp has received a reputation for flexibility and for enthusiastic teachers who offer unique and exciting classes. Those classes are designed by our teachers and provide them with an opportunity to share their passions, curiosities, and expertise with children! We are delighted that so many of our All Saints’ faculty and alumni have offered their talents for this year’s summer program. They have created the wonderful tapestry of choices you will view in this brochure. From our classics such as Paper Doll Fashions, Scrapbooking, Cookie Favorites, Calling All Rock Heads, and Great Hikes to classes we believe will become new favorites such as Robotics, Zombie Makeup, Legomania, and Team Challenge, this year’s brochure is filled with a multitude of choices. Additionally, we have developed a variety of classes that will enrich learning and reinforce math, reading, computer, study, and writing skills. At All Saints’ Summer Camp your child has the opportunity to explore his or her interests and pursue new ones creating the perfect summer experience! Flexibility and variety are key to our program. Classes are offered from 8 a.m.to 5 p.m. You may register your child for one or two classes, or you may build an all-day program. Children may also register for the same class all four weeks if it should be offered. The brochure is filled with all of the information you will need to learn about All Saints’ Summer Camp. In the front, you will find a listing of classes by week which indicates class title, instructor, class times, grade levels, and cost of each class. Following the class list is an alphabetical listing of class descriptions. Please note that the grade level requirements for each class indicate the grade a student will be entering for the 2013–2014 school year. As you review the brochure, please note that the 2013 All Saints’ Summer Camp will run a total of four weeks: June 3-7 June 10-14 June 17-21 June 24-28 Please feel free to pass on this brochure and invite your friends to enroll their children in our summer camp. We would love to have them join us! Additional information can be found on our All Saints’ Summer Camp webpage by visiting us at www.aseds.org/summer-camp. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions at summercamp@allsaints.org. We are here to help you put together a great summer experience for your child. General Information Registration and Payment Register early! Each class has a limited number of spaces available for students over various grade levels. Please visit our website www.aseds.org/summer-camp to register your child for the 2013 All Saints’ Summer Camp. Registrations are processed on a first come, first served basis. Payment is required at the time of registration. Registration opens February 25, 2013. Savings for Early Registration Parents who register their children for the summer program on or before March 31, 2013, will receive a 5% discount on the total fee for all of the All Saints’ Summer 2013 courses. Late Registration Fee In order to avoid a late registration fee, be sure to register for classes before the summer program begins. Registration forms will be accepted after May 31, but a $10 registration fee will be added to the cost. Changes in Class Selection Flexibility is our key, and we do our best to accommodate changes in classes. If you wish to change classes for your child once the summer program has begun, there will be a $10 fee to process the request. Low Enrollment Occasionally, a class will need to be cancelled due to low enrollment. Students may choose another course without charge, or parents will receive a full refund for the cancelled class. Cancellation and Refund Policy Parents are responsible for the entire tuition at the time of registration regardless of absences for whatever reason. Refunds minus a 25% processing fee will be returned to parents who submit a written request by May 20, 2013. No refunds will be given after May 20, 2013. Behavior Policy Upon registration on the website, parents will asked to review the behavior contract and inform your children about the appropriate behavior at the All Saints’ Summer Camp. Inappropriate conduct or behavior can result in expulsion from All Saints’ Summer Camp without a refund. Lunch and Snack Students are to supply their own lunch. We recommend healthy choices to provide them with energy throughout the day. Snacks will be included in all four-hour classes and for students taking two classes over the snack time. Students who are attending classes over the lunch hour should bring a sack lunch from home. Lunches will be stored in a refrigerator, and all students will eat lunch together in a supervised area. If you wish your child to be included in the snack time or lunch time even if she or he is not with us for another class, there will be a $10 charge. Questions If you have questions or would like help planning a full-day summer program for your child, please contact Andrew Klemmer, Kerrie Pelenytchka or Kelly Perez at summercamp@allsaints.org, or call 602-274-4866. We will travel to three area rock gyms to learn the basics of rock climbing indoors. This is a safe and fun way to reach new heights! Prior to leaving campus for our climbing adventure, we will examine, experiment, and learn about rocks in other ways. No experience is required. Class is limited to 12 students. Cheer Dance Class In this high energy class, students will learn a variety of cheers and dances. Campers will enjoy five fun-filled days of dancing and cheering. Each week, students will read a book, watch the movie, and discuss the author’s intention as opposed to the director’s vision. Enter Fantasyland with Movies, Munchies, and More Want to experience Jumangi, board The Polar Express, or have a wild rumphus Where the Wild Things Are? Then, this movie adventure is right for you. We will read the books and compare them to their movie counterparts. Of course, a delicious snack will be assembled as we eat what our characters enjoy eating!
