TESDA contact tracer graduates to be employed By Maritess B. Paneda – PIA/IDPD
A total of 50 Technical Education and Skills Development AuthorityNCR (TESDA) scholars who completed the training on Contact Tracing Level II are expected to be employed as contact tracers in communities. TESDA has assisted them in their application to the Department of Interior and Local Government Units (DILG) and were endorsed to the local government units (LGUs) where they reside. Contact Tracing Level II is a seven-day training for TESDA trainers piloted by the Agency to ensure the sufficient number of trainers who can conduct more contact training nationwide. The program will also be available not only in NCR but also in TESDA-Regions II, III and IV-A after several TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs) have registered with the Agency. TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapena recognized the bravery of the graduates for choosing to serve the country as contact tracers. He is optimistic that this initiative will benefit the community and the LGUs
particularly the barangay level to stop the spread of the COVID-19 cases. For further details about the program visit the TESDA website www.tesda.gov.ph or Facebook page @tesda. PIA Bulletin Online 6
