The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) will prioritize issuing vaccine certificates to fully vaccinated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and persons traveling abroad. Through VaxCertPH, an online portal for COVID-19 vaccination certificates, OFWs can generate their digital certificates for free. DICT targets to issue vaccine certificates to all vaccinated Filipinos by October 2021.

Mula Setyembre 11 hanggang 13 isasagawa ng Commission on Elections (COMELEC) ang unang bahagi ng Internet voting test run. Ang listahan ng mga kalahok na botante ay ipapaskil sa opisyal na Facebook page ng Office for Overseas Voting (OFOV). Sinabi ni Commissioner-in-Charge for Overseas Voting Maria Rowena Guanzon na kung magtatagumpay ang gagawing Internet voting test run ay irerekomenda nila ito sa kongreso para sa 2025 election.

The government has prepared P486.6 million and thousands of food packs for those affected by tropical storm “Jolina,” Malacañang said Thursday. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has provided the lion’s share with P442.9 million from its quick response budget and P11.2 million more from its field offices. Said DSWD field offices are those located in MIMAROPA (Marinduque, Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, Palawan and Romblon), Bicol, Central Visayas and Eastern Visayas regions. The government has lifted the travel ban on ten countries starting September 6 to 20, 2021. Travelers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia are now allowed to enter the Philippines. International travelers shall be governed by entry, testing, and quarantine protocols.

Fake ang kumakalat na post na nagsasabing hindi mabisa ang RT-PCR test sa pagtukoy ng SARS-CoV-2 base sa mga spike protein mula sa sample ng isang indibidwal. Binigyang-linaw ng DOH na ang RT-PCR test ay nananatiling gold standard sa pagtukoy kung positibo ang tao sa COVID-19. Sinabi rin ng DOH na ang healthcare workers o professionals sa mga laboratoryo ay may sapat na kaalaman at kasanayan upang tiyakin ang kalidad ng mga resulta sa test.

Sa pagbubukas ng eskwela ngayong taon, isinusulong ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang pagkakaroon ng pilot face-to-face classes mula kinder hanggang Grade 3 sa mga piling lugar na “low risk” o mababa ang kaso ng COVID-19. Ayon kay DepEd Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan, limitado sa 12 estudyante lamang ang kada isang klase sa kinder at 16 naman ang makakalahok sa kada isang klase ng Grade 1 hanggang Grade 3. Maaaring makasama sa pilot ang mga paaralang may maayos na bentilasyon sa mga silid-aralan.

66 student-athletes under scholarship

The National Academy of Sports (NAS) welcomes 66 learners qualified for the studentathletes national scholarship program. The first batch of NAS scholars will receive a full scholarship in secondary education, a monthly stipend, free board and lodging, and training uniforms.
