YOU HAVE PROVIDED COLLEGIANS AND ALUMNAE WITH FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ACCESS INCREASINGLY EXPENSIVE EDUCATION.
It’s no secret that Pi Phis are all connected by our desire for education — after all, education is at the core of Pi Phi. As young women ahead of their time, our 12 founders sought education when few universities even admitted women. They were able to endure by relying on one another and the support of the sisterhood they created.
Today, Pi Phi’s scholarship program ensures academic achievement remains at the center of our membership experience. With awards for both collegians and alumnae, our scholarships echo our founders’ commitment to education by assisting as many members as possible in pursuing — and reaching — their academic goals.
While membership in Pi Phi brings the joy and support of a community of sisters, I believe it should also bring the security of financial support to access increasingly expensive education. As a recipient of scholarships during my college years, I know firsthand how important they are. Now that I have the resources to give back, I’m thrilled to help by paying it forward.
Our scholarship program brings our Fraternity’s mission — to develop women of intellect and integrity — to fruition. Just as we continue working together to uphold our core values and fulfill our mission, we must also continue to provide scholarships that allow our sisters to pursue their studies and personal development. I know there will always be a need to help our sisters obtain the education they need to succeed. I chose to use the SHINE THROUGH campaign as an opportunity to invest in our members’ education and in their future.
