The destination of choice for arts patrons in Northeast Georgia.
AT PIEDMONT UNIVERSITY Greetings from the School of Fine Arts at Piedmont University! I am pleased to announce the Fine Arts schedule of events for 2021-2022 and that the Arts at Piedmont are alive and well! I thank all of you for your patience and continued patronage through a difficult year. With your encouragement and support we were able to present an entire year of performances and art exhibitions while most fine arts venues were shut down because of COVID-19. As we begin to emerge from the pandemic and get back to our lives, we are more committed than ever to make Piedmont University the destination of choice for the very best in concerts, exhibits, and shows. To support our efforts, I hope you will join me and other members of the Friends of the Arts with your financial gift. Come connect with us and be a part of what makes artistic endeavors worthwhile. I look forward to seeing you at some of our events.
Dr. C. Wallace Hinson Associate Dean, School of Fine Arts, Professor of Music

Directed by Kathy Blandin “Don’t judge a man until you’ve walked two moons in his moccasins.” Walk Two Moons is lovingly adapted for the stage with the same nuance and surprises offered by the original book. Utilizing multiple narrative frames, the play leaps back and forth through time and memory as 13-year-old Sal tells the story of the disappearance of her best friend Phoebe’s mother. Determined to find her, the two girls begin seeing murderous plots and schemes around every corner. Sal shares these conspiracy theories with her Gram and Gramps during a cross-country road trip to confront her own mother, who left her and her father a year ago. However, it is only through telling Phoebe’s story that Sal truly understands why her mother left and whether or not they will ever be together again. Based on Sharon Creech’s Newbery Medal-winning novel.

Directed by John F. Spiegal Dumas. A tale of heroism, treachery, close escapes, and honor, this story, set in 1625, begins with D’Artagnan, who sets off for Paris in search of adventure. Along with D’Artagnan goes Sabine, his sister, the quintessential tomboy. Sent with D’Artagnan to attend a convent school in Paris, she poses as a young man – D’Artagnan’s servant – and quickly becomes entangled in her brother’s adventures. Soon after reaching Paris, D’Artagnan encounters the greatest heroes of the day – Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, the famous musketeers – and he joins forces with his heroes to defend the honor of the Queen of France. In so doing, he finds himself in opposition to the most dangerous man in Europe, Cardinal Richelieu. Even more deadly is the infamous Countess de Winter, known as Milady, who will stop at nothing to exact revenge on D’Artagnan – and Sabine – for their meddlesome behavior. Little does Milady know that the young girl she scorns, Sabine, will ultimately save the day. $$
