Our unique project-based class is designed to allow young students to develop their creative storytelling or game designing abilities, and then gives them the opportunity to bring them to life through Scratch and Python.
Students have a blast, create App Store caliber games like Flappy Bird, and learn plenty of professional programming practices. If student does not have their own device, a rental can be provided for $40.

Discover Web Design

Welcome to the magical world of Web Design! This course focuses on the fundamentals of Web Design and the use of HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. The course begins with learning various HTML5 tags and then applying them to build the structure of a website.
Students will then design the aesthetics of their website using CSS properties. Lastly, they will learn to make their website interactive with JavaScript. By the end of this course students will have gained the skills needed to create their own website.

Minecraft Coding and Design Studio for Girls

Minecraft isn’t just the world’s most popular game; it’s also an excellent tool for teaching a wide array of subjects. At Athena, we’ve developed a project based approach to a variety of important topics using Minecraft Educational; our course will cover Personalized Game Design, Animation and storytelling, Programming in Python and Javascript, Architecture and design, The fundamentals of electrical circuitry using Minecraft’s patented Redstone circuit system, Logic gates, multi-system mechanisms, Modding and more! If student does not have their own device, a rental can be provided for $40.

Coding with Robots
ages 7–10 r$585 N$615
Learn through play! Navigate the robots through challenging maze, make them react to their environment, complete coding puzzles on the tablet, work in teams to compete with fun games. You will use a series of fun robots (Dash and Dots, Lego® WeDo and Beebots) to engage with technology and use your critical thinking skills. Combining a real robot with coding fires up the imagination, inspires dreams, and builds confidence.

Programming with Scratch Jr
ages 6–8 r$585 N$615
Begin your coding journey using Scratch Jr.! Start with making a character dance to producing a full simulated environment. In this introductory sequence of projects in Scratch Jr., get gradually introduced to a variety of practices and concepts while using a variety of blocks and tools. Each project is aligned with algorithms and programming standards developed by the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA).
