As we close out 2016, you may notice a lot of Warriors jerseys around town. Not only are the NBA Warriors back in action, but PRD has partnered with Golden State and their Junior Warriors Program. More than 500 K— 6th grade kids are registered for PRD Basketball this winter, all of whom will receive a reversible Warriors jersey and some unique opportunities to engage in clinics and events at Oracle Arena.

As we move into 2017, PRD is excited to offer a wide range of Winter/Spring programs for our community. We continue to work closely with Piedmont Middle School to provide diverse after school enrichment opportunities, the Piedmont Community Pool is finding creative ways to meet increased demand for water polo across many age groups, and we are all excited for the February re-opening of Hampton Park. The renovations at Hampton will greatly enhance recreation opportunities for Piedmonters of all ages and will be the hub of our Summer 2017 offerings.

SPORTS Tot/Youth 15-17 Youth/Teen 18-19 Teen 20

As part of an ongoing effort to ensure that our City play spaces are safe, fun and accessible, the Recreation Department Tot Lot will see the installation of a new play structure in early 2017. This area is the primary outdoor play space for preschool programs located at PRD and is also frequented by community members for recreational use as well as by residents who rent the picnic area for gatherings. Our beloved Winter/Spring traditions return again this year. Santa and His Elves will host breakfast at the Community Hall on December 10th, the annual Bunny Blast will take place in the Main Park on April 1st and the Piedmont Community Pool will host an Egg Dive on April 2nd.
