Anchored in the history ❖ A very old estate dating back to the 17th century, owned by the Abbey of SaintPolycarpe. ❖ 1998 : acquisition by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her two sons, Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild and Philippe Sereys de Rothschild. ❖ 2003: first vintage of the premium red wine in AOC Limoux Rouge.


With the pioneering values of the Rothschild family ❖ Thanks to the quality of its terroir and its wines, the estate has taken its rightful place alongside the Rothschild family’s other renowned estates, including the illustrious Château Mouton Rothschild ❖ Our goal is to produce a Grand Cru from South of France ❖ The Rothschild working methods adapted to suit the Domaine’s terroir.

An exceptionnal terroir

❖ 110 hectares (272 acres) in a single sweep, of which 43 hectares (106 acres) are planted with vines. ❖ An exceptional situation with vines planted at an altitude of 250 to 350 metres, tempering the summer heat. ❖ An atlantic and mediterranean micro-climate, guaranteeing optimum sunshine and balanced rainfall. ❖ A complex terroir, with clay-limestone soils as well as sandy-gravel soils.

❖ A high density plantation, unique in Languedoc, between 4600 to 7500 vines per hectare. ❖ The working methods used at the family’s other estates adapted to suit the Domaine’s variety of soils, micro-climates and grape varieties : from disbudding to manual leaf removal and crop thinning.
