Harvest only takes place once the best maturation is achieved

Fermented at low temperatures with selected yeasts

State-of-the-art technology is used in the winemaking process, resulting in outstanding organoleptic features

40% of the wine is matured in American Oak Barrels for 2 months. The wine obtains a touch of oak, keeping it’s varietal character

FINING & FILTRATION:

Prior to bottling, the wine is filtered producing a bright and clear look to the wine

VINIFICATION: •

Cool maceration takes 2 days at 8°C. The wine is seeded with selected yeasts and ferments at 26°C for 15-20 days

AGEING: •

40% of the wine is matured in American Oak Barrels for 8 months, which gives the wine structure

FINING & FILTRATION: •

Prior to bottling, the wine if filtered. This gives the wine a bright appearance

VINIFICATION:

Maceration takes 2 days at 8°C. The wine is seeded with selected yeasts and ferments at 25-28°C for 10 days

AGEING:

After malolactic fermentation, 100% of the wine is aged in American oak for 8 months. It remains in bottle for 4 months before being released

FINING & FILTRATION: •

Prior to bottling, the wine if filtered with earth pads to achieve biological stabilization & undergoes strict microbiological control

ALCOHOL LEVEL: •

THE SOIL IN THIS REGION IS ALLUVIAL (DEBRIS LEFT BY WATER OF RIVERS OR FLOODS)

ROCKY SUBSOIL, CONTAINING SAND, SILT & CLAY

BECAUSE THERE IS SO LITTLE ORGANIC MATTER IT RESTRAINS THE VINE GROWTH

THEREFORE VINE ROOTS HAVE TO GO DEEPER TO SEARCH FOR NUTRIENTS

THIS PRODUCES EXCELLENT QUALITY WINES

VINICATION:

Cold maceration takes place before fermentation for 72 hours

Winemaking process is carried out in stainless steel tanks and macerated for 15 to 20 days

AGEING: •

After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in new oak barrels: 20% French and 80% American

ALCOHOL LEVEL: •

PA S C UA L T O S O M A G DA L E N A T O S O VARIETY Red Blend Grape: Malbec / Cabernet Sauvignon Percentages differ from vintage to vintage but Malbec is usually around 70-80% PERSONALITY

A complete harmony between colour, aroma, flavour and finish – it has an intense red colour, with notes of violets and plums & with sweet tannins

Malbec is combined with a touch of the best Cabernet Sauvignon and is only made in years when the grapes are high enough quality

Ripe, juicy raspberry fruit, lovely boysenberry and plenty of vanilla, spice and chocolate shadings with a round, inviting elegant style

Magdalena Toso was Pascual Toso’s mother and this wine is named in her memory

Consistently receives 92-94 points and was awarded third best ultra-premium wine from Argentina in 2016 from Decanter

Looking to gain maximum expression, the wine is bottled with a soft filtration

It remains in bottle for a year before being released
