Over the course of Winter term, we were very active with volunteering in our community. Whether it be working with our partner organization – Best Buddies Oregon, volunteering with the Special Olympics Oregon, or even participating in Greek Philanthropies, our brothers worked diligently to better the community around them through service.
Winter Term Service
The largest of these events would be Kappa Delta’s 5k Color Run (pictured below) and Special Olympics Oregon (pictured left). Congratulations to brother Dan Rucker on his time of 19:04!
We had a great time volunteering with Special Olympics Oregon!
With War of the Roses pushed to Spring Term, our brothers were eager to participate in service with other groups across campus. We helped Best Buddies Oregon make and distribute Valentine’s Day cards as well as signed their banner, pledging to end the use of the “R” word. War of the Roses is taking place early Spring Term from 4/20 through 4/23! Any interested alumni are welcome!

Exceptional Leaders, Uncommon Opportunities
Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers (Midyear) Our Executive Council had a great time at Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers where each leader learned the ins and outs of their position in order to excel in each of their roles. After two full days of meetings, while tired and exhausted, each leader left with a new-found sense of motivation as well as the knowledge to properly put themselves to work. Letter from the Archon
Brothers, This term has been one filled with enthusiasm and personal growth throughout the chapter. From January 20-22, the Executive Council had the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to take part in Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers. All ten of us had the opportunity to meet brothers all over the west coast, along with Pi Kapp’s remarkable CEO, Mark E Timmes. This was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity and we are all extremely grateful for the opportunity. We also had a great turnout for the alumni weekend; all the brothers enjoyed getting to know alumni and hearing their stories. Also, we are extremely excited to welcome six tremendous new members into Pi Kappa Phi in our Iota class. Yours in Pi Kappa Phi, Drew Kriens
