Chapter updates from the ARCHON The Delta Lambda just recently went through a very successful fall rush. We extended 20 bids and ended up signing 19. This put our fall recruitment class near the top on campus and also moved up the chapter size to 50 which ranks in the top 5 at UNCC. Our efforts are now focusing on Push America where we are currently planning our annual Scaffold Sit where we sit on two scaffolds on the corner of John Kirk and Hwy. 49 for 24 hrs.
We
collect money and pass out information about Push America. Many local businesses donate to the cause as well. We hope to have the support of the alumni as well. The date will most likely be in the spring so please be on the lookout for information as it will be coming your way in the near future. PUSH AMERICA Pi Kappa Phi is one of the leading Greek organization philanthropists here at UNCC. Over the past years we have done a great deal on campus to show that.
In that
tradition we have created a few new projects and events that help to raise awareness, funds, and volunteerism. Early semester we will be holding our annual Empathy Dinner. We use to raise awareness by having our guest of the event eat dinner with a handicap, blind, mute, no use of thumbs, and other things of that nature. If you would like to attend please contact us threw the information below. In the spring we are having our annual Scaffold Sit. This is where we have brothers volunteers to stay on a scaffold on a street corner for between 24 and 48 hours to
America. It will be held in late May early April so if you would like to donate, be a sponsor, or have anything else that could help please let us know. PUSH AMERICA CHAIR: Sidney Fligel, sbfligel@uncc.edu.
