Delta Chapter Wins Homecoming with Alpha Delta Pi With wins in the Horseplay skit and chalking competitions, the men of Delta Chapter and the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, Eta Phi Chapter took home an overall homecoming victory. This year’s theme was board games, and our pairing was given the game “Twister.” Many thanks to RJ McDowell and Chad Boltz (pictured left), our Homecoming Chairmen whose tireless work propelled us to our second overall victory in three years. Among the other highlights of the weekend were a successful whole-hog roast and visits from over fifty Delta Chapter alumni throughout the weekend. Here’s to another victory and an even better homecoming next year! See you November 4th–6th!
Brotherhood Retreat
From February 26th to 28th, the brothers and thenassociates of Delta Chapter attended a brotherhood retreat at the Davis family farm in Clover, SC. Filled with impromptu softball, careening around the pasture in “Dirty Girl,” the farm truck, and general debauchery, it was a great opportunity for the older brothers to get to know the newest brothers. Alpha Gamma Class had their Fireside subritual on Friday night, while Saturday was reserved for the Executive Council and the senior class to get to know the freshmen. Aside from realizing that they were all far more athletic than us (I blame three years of cheap beer), we came away seeing the dividends of keeping our mantra, “recruit better men.” Chapter Address
The Fireside subritual has often been described as the most meaningful part of the Associate Member process. See Derek Fox’s memory on Page 2 for his thoughts on Fireside.
