The Experience in Birmingham
Thoughts from the Archon
Starting off this Spring 2018 semester, the EC at Iota chapter attended Pi Kapp College in Birmingham, Alabama. The members that attended went through leadership training and learned how to make the most out of their respective positions. The brothers in attendance included: "At Pi Kapp College for chapter officers I was able to understand the internal dynamics of our executive council and how to effectively corral our strengths in order to become an ideal chapter. I strongly believe that our newfound understanding of one another's strengths and weaknesses will lead us to a successful and active semester. " ~ Vishnu Rajendran

Journey of Hope at Iota
Thoughts from the EC
This year at our chapter, we have 3 brothers who are raising money to take part in Journey of Hope! Journey of Hope is a cross-country bicycle trek beginning in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Seattle. All the tracks ending together with all teams in Washington, D.C. This program is promoted through the ability experience, our fraternity’s philanthropy. Each brother is required to raise $5500 two weeks prior to orientation to reach the fundraising minimum. Our three brothers that will be participating this summer are shown below.

“This weekend I learned some new strategies that will improve our chapter’s recruitment tactics for this year and hopefully years to come. I learned how to better motivate our members to participate fully in recruitment as well as gathering knowledge on how to effectively sell our unique brotherhood to potential new members. This experience was helpful for me personally as much as it was a fun time bonding with my fellow exec members.” ~ Ryan Trickett, Vice-Archon ________________________________________________

“At PiKapp College I was introduced to many different styles of budgeting to compare to ours. I will be able to take the best aspects from what was discussed, and will implement them to improve our overall organization and record keeping, which will ensure our chapter remains financially successful.” ~ Chris Hough, Treasurer
