Pi Kappa Phi Yacht Club ChiliFest is the time of year everyone in College Station looks forward too, and since this year is the 25th anniversary, we decided to go big, really big. This year's theme was chosen to be "Pi Kapp Yacht Club". The theme itself contained high hopes and aspirations, so it is only just to fulfill those dreams. This year's build design was implemented to meet the demands of the chapter while also challenging ourselves to make this 25th anniversary the best ChiliFest yet. Construction commenced around 4 weeks ago, and we are in the final stages of fabrication. New features include; lifted stages, higher walls, enclosed DJ booth, and other unique scenery. Several items have been left off due to its importance of surprise (boat, lighthouse, head cut out) if you would like to know more details concerning the new build or additional pictures of the process and implementation you can email me.
If you have an interest in attending the event, please go to this link to pay. The deadline is April 11th. Furthermore, if your company would like to sponsor us, please contact me.

The Big Event with the Aggie Sweethearts The Big Event, Texas A&M's largest studentrun service organization, will be held this Saturday, April 2nd. Since 1982, this service project allows the students of Texas A&M to say "Thank you" to the Bryan/College Station residents. This year, the gentlemen of Pi Kappa Phi will be paired with the lovely ladies of Aggie Sweethearts Women's Organization. We will have the privilege to volunteer at St. Thomas Early Learning Center for a Kids Carnival. The active members are excited to volunteer and have fun while doing it with another organization. As the Secretary and Big Event Representative, I believe "The Big Event really hits A&M's Core Value of Selfless Service hard. Giving back is what each individual should strive for. I have always been an advocate of volunteering and what better way to do it than with the Brothers of Pi Kapp and your School as well."

One of our main goals in 2016 is to significantly increase our contributions to our national philanthropy, The Ability Experience, and on April 27th our chapter will be hosting our Spring 2016 Philanthropy Event: A BTHO the RWord Car Smash. This event will raise awareness for those with physical and mental disabilities while also raising money that will go directly towards our national philanthropy. The Car Smash will take place on West Campus, right outside of Mays Business School, a great location for students to come see what the Ability Experience is all about. April is a jampacked month for Texas A&M students. There are several events and exams coming up, and we hope to have fun and de stress with our fellow aggies by hammering down on an old car for a good cause.
If you have an interest in making a donation to our fundraising efforts, please contact me so I can help you make your donations.

Professional Opportunities If you are aware of a potential internship, coop, or entrylevel position within your company or business, please notify me of such opportunities. Summer and graduation are approaching quickly and there are active members still looking for these opportunities.
Up Next... In the upcoming newsletter, we will introduce and welcome the newest members of the Delta Omega Chapter. We will also be recognizing students that are graduating and joining the Delta Omega Alumni Association. Distinguished students from the Fall 2015 Semester will be recognized for their hard work and excellence in the classroom. Keep an eye
Parent's Weekend On April 9th, the chapter will host our second Parent's Weekend Crawfish Boil! Last spring, our crawfish boil was such a great hit, and we can only hope to improve the event this year. We are purchasing just over 300 lbs of crawfish plus all the good fixings to go along with the mudbugs.
