The Founding Fathers Of the Tau Chapter Featured in this Issue Welcome Back to NC State! Miracle League Brotherhood Letter From the Archon Alumni Updates

Welcome Back to NC State! Pi Kappa Phi is proud to return to North Carolina State University to revive the fraternity’s Tau Chapter. So far with only being on campus for a couple of months, 45 brothers have come together as founding fathers to begin the new chapter. This number continues to grow every week. The new Pi Kapps at NC State are working hard every week to charter. Brothers have run informational sessions showing what it means to be an exceptional leader for recruitment. Elections have been held to determine the executive council. Committees have been voted on to begin planning involvement for the chapter, such as brotherhood events, tailgating for the football games, and alumni engagement.

Founding fathers at NC State had the privilege to participate in Miracle League. This was a two-day philanthropy event where Pi Kapps were able to play in baseball games with players with different abilities. This was a great opportunity for the chapter to contribute to The Ability Experience. Brothers who participated helped socialize, facilitate baseball games by being paired up with a buddy to play with, and most importantly, had the chance to have fun with someone our chapter admires. This event was held in Cary through The Miracle League of The Triangle. The brothers at Tau have also been actively supporting The Ability Experience by raising money for Beards Giving. The chapter reached their goal of raising $2000, and they have been working so hard that they are one of the top five chapters to fundraise the most money! Chapter Address

Brotherhood As the chapter continues to form, members at Tau are choosing to grow the brotherhood. The chapter will be making its first tailgate appearance against ECU on December 1st. Brothers worked together to create a bench with their Greek letters to sit under the tent. Members form close bonds at chapter and everyday life on campus, which is something the chapter looks for in a fraternity. As well, brotherhood events continue to create a close Pi Kapp community, such as going to an indoor trampoline park and celebrating Thanksgiving together after the holidays.

Letter From the Archon Pi Kappa Phi is proud to return to North Carolina State University to revive the Fraternity’s Tau Chapter. With 45 active members so far, our Chapter is continuing to grow with more exceptional leaders. So far, the Tau Chapter has been working to get our name known on NC State’s campus through social meetings with sororities and philanthropy/social events. I’m most impressed with the commitment my Founding Fathers have shown with the goal of chartering next fall. We have worked past differences between members within the Chapter and all share the same drive to achieve a strong brotherhood. I’m honored to have been elected to lead this Chapter and I look forward to what the future holds! Sincerely, Blake Lambert Archon, Tau Chapter ALUMNI UPDATES We are always looking to meet alumni and form a connection with all brothers of Tau. Please do not hesitate to contact the historian or other members of the chapter. We would love to have alumni come to chapter meetings and other events, and hope to create alumni engagement events with all!
