My name is Fraternity My name is fraternity. Since Beginning, wherever men have come together, there have I been.

Gentlemen don’t forget, Roseball will be held April 25th at Myrtle Beach for a whole weekend. We have been able to get rooms one mile from the beach for $75 a night. For booking information please contact the hotel at 1-843-361-1730 the event is under Barton College Alumni Event Address Highway 17, 1000 Commons Blvd. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29572

My membership is legion. From the humble home and from the stately mission; from the rolling farms and from the noisy factories; form the East and West and North and South, have my followers come. They who understand my meaning have followed in the footsteps of the Man of Galilee. In peace, they have been their brother’s keeper, and in agony of war their blood has enriched the fields of Flanders and reddened the sands of the Pacific. Their reward has been the Inspiration of their Youth; the driving power of their Manhood; the Memories of their Maturity. They have fought the Good fight. And of these My Sons, I am justly proud. Who am I? My name is FRATERNITY. And because I have given Man that which he craves, I shall endure. They shall add luster to my name.

Greetings to all of the alumni from the active brothers. Some of you know me or at least know of me, I am the new archon, my name is Gustavo Herrera. Along with the chapter, I plan to cleanse the name of Zeta Tau and restore it to its former glory and level of respect. We have many plans to accomplish our goals and would greatly appreciate any help from the alumni to help us succeed. We know that this is not just our chapter but yours as well. If you wish to contact any active brother please refer to the back of this newsletter for positions and phone numbers. This newsletter will also include events we already have planned to help the alumni become more involved with the actives of OUR chapter. We hope this newsletter finds you and your families in good health. We hope to see as many of you as soon as you feel like visiting us. God bless the Fraternity.

Alumni at Roseball 2006

LUAU This semester we had Luau, on September 21 it went well, we had a good alumni turn out. Dr. Cain and his father cooked the pig for us like they did last year. They started at about 9:30 am and the pig was done by 6 pm. Lots of alumni showed up like; Jason Arnold, Jeremy Arnott (Apex), Jesse Gyer, Matthew Rider Pollock Mozingo, Mark Colona, David Hennes, Robert Oden, Nicholas Carson Harrel (Bones), Gordon Card, Mike Potente, Larry Meek, and Ryan Burke. I do believe they all had a good time. It was good to see some of the Alumni we actives only hear about. Just talking to these guys that came before us was a great experience and we would like to get to know more of the alumni. Hearing some of the stories the alumni tell and how things were when they were actives really does help us out now. So we, the actives, would like to thank you all for coming out and supporting us.

Upcoming Events

What are alumni getting into?

Next big thing on the list is our annual scaffold sit. That is when we raise money for our philanthropy. That is the biggest money maker we have along with dorm storm. I don’t know if you all did scaffold sit when you were active so I will explain it. Dr. Cain rents a scaffold for us to use, we set it up on center campus and we hang Push America buckets from the scaffold there is at least one brother on the scaffold at all times and we get people to come by and donate money we might do a cook out or play football around the scaffold to get people to come out and we let them know what we are doing. Last year we made about $180 and this year we want to at least double that number. Oh by the way that happened for an entire week so yes we do sleep out there all night. This year we are doing it Oct. 21 thru the 27 that way it will go into homecoming and we can make our goal of doubling the amount we make for Push. Homecoming this year will be lots of fun because the school is sponsoring alumni games I do believe it will be like the Greek games but for alumni. And onto of that we will our alumni vs active football game.
