(Approximately 8" x 10") If you’d like to work from your own photograph, you’ll contact Rosemary via email at least 10 days before class starts. She’ll help you identify an image of your animal that works well with the collage technique and will prepare the templates for you. ($30, payable to Rosemary) Or, you can also use Rosemary’s templates of a dog or cat. Each template includes a photo, an outline template, pre-drawn nose and eye templates, and fabrics to make the eyes and nose. ($15, payable to Rosemary) In class, you’ll learn how to copy your photo-based template onto muslin. You’ll work with collage techniques that use glue and small pieces of fabric to emphasize shadows and lines. This class includes three 5-hour sessions. Little Pieces Quilt Workshop Discover the charm of the traditional Ohio Trail block in this simple, dramatic quilt. Parallel quilting lines fill the negative space and emphasize the center row of miniature 3" blocks. An alternate “plus” layout of the quilt is made from 17 Ohio Trail blocks. Let’s Do The “Strip-ology” Class In this three-part class, you’ll use Creative Grids’ Stripology Ruler and the Stripology book by Gudrun Erla to make three projects. By the end of class, you’ll have the confidence to use this amazing ruler for other projects. The Stripology ruler reduces rotary cutting time by up to 75 percent and makes cutting accurate strips and squares a no-brainer. The ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, the exclusive gripper holds your fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts! Pretty clever! Here are the projects you’ll make: Stripology 101—Make a mini strip ribbons quilt and learn how to turn it into a pillow. Learn cutting basics for the Stripology ruler.
