THE FUTURE OF

FAST. T u r b u l at o r Technology

Series

T u r b u l at o r technology For nearly 55 years, PING has spearheaded technological innovation that elevates performance from tee to green for all golfers. The most visible innovation on the G30 drivers are the patented turbulators engineered onto the crown. Turbulator Technology reduces aerodynamic drag by significantly delaying airflow separation, maintaining attached airflow around the clubhead as it approaches impact, leading to more speed and measurable distance gains for all skill levels. Turbulators are also found on the G30 SF Tec (Straight Flight Technology) driver. Unique weighting helps promote a right-to-left ball flight, ideal for the right-handed golfer whose tee shots typically end up right of the intended target. Distance, forgiveness and high trajectory distinguish the G30 irons, fairway woods and hybrids from their competition. Decades of leadership in custom fitting have taught us that when better products and a better fit go hand in hand, the results are predictable: better scores.

TURBULATORS Turbulator Technology reduces aerodynamic drag, leading to increased clubhead speed, ball velocity and distance.

THE FUTURE OF FAST. An emphasis on significantly increasing ball velocity and accuracy, with no sacrifice in performance, sets the new G30 standard driver and G30 SF Tec drivers apart. To generate faster clubhead speed and ball velocity for longer drives, turbulators are engineered into the crown. Proven in wind-tunnel testing to reduce aerodynamic drag and create efficient airflow, Turbulator Technology generates added speed, providing measurable distance gains for all skill levels. Both models are optimised to help you go a long, long way toward improving your total driving.

CG oPTIMISED The G30 drivers’ CG position is the lowest and furthest back of any PING driver, ensuring high launch and a high MOI in both axes for extreme forgiveness and maximum energy transfer.

4

G30 DRiverS Shafts Another source of power is the TFC 419D shaft with high-balance-point technology. The CG is closer to the grip end, allowing for a heavier head, which increases the MOI and contributes to the extremely low CG. The result is more energy, momentum and inertia at impact for greater distance and accuracy. The Tour 65 and Tour 80 are designed for the player looking for a firmer, heavier shaft.

NEW FACE design A new high-strength, lightweight T9S titanium face is thinner and hotter to optimise face deflection for faster ball speeds and longer drives.

CUSTOM TUNING PORT The custom tuning port can accommodate a range of fitting weights and allows PING to achieve the desired swing weight across a variety of proprietary and after-market shafts.

5l Grip The new 5L grip has progressive texture density and is firmer at the top, softer at the bottom. This allows the player to have stability under the glove hand and more feel on delicate shots when you grip down on the club. The grip also features the traditional dial-a-lines around the thumb placement areas to aide alignment. The driver and fairway grips are round to ensure a uniform feel for when the loft is adjusted. Hybrids and irons feature a reminder to aide proper hand/finger placement on the club.

HIT IT LONGER AND HIT MORE FAIRWAYS. Both G30 models are optimised to help you with your total driving, a combination of distance and accuracy. The G30 SF Tec (Straight Flight Technology) driver is for golfers whose swing path produces tee shots right of their intended target. Weight is positioned near the heel to help square the face at impact. Combined with a lighter swing weight, these factors produce a right-to-left ball flight that steers the ball into the fairway with unmatched consistency.

MoRe Adjustability. MoRe control. Fine-tuning your driver’s loft can be crucial to optimising launch conditions for your game. Our Trajectory Tuning+ Technology offers five settings with two full degrees of adjustability, meaning you optimise your ball flight by increasing or reducing the club’s loft by 6/10ths of a degree or 1 full degree, to maximise distance and control. The adjustable hosel has the same mass and diameter of our fixed hosels, providing the benefits of adjustability with no sacrifice in performance.

LONG AND PRECISE Distance, forgiveness and high trajectory distinguish the G30 irons from the competition. Progressive lengths and lofts and a thin face are keys to achieving a higher maximum ball flight to give you the stopping power needed for scoring. With distance also comes forgiveness and accuracy. Slightly longer blade lengths help to increase the MOI, most noticeably in the 4 through 7 iron. Progressive offset generates higher ball flights in the longer irons and penetrating, controlled trajectories in the scoring clubs.

Progressive soles The sole design is optimised to promote solid contact while giving players insurance for imperfect swings. The improved turf interaction is a result of a softer lead-edge radius and precisely calculated additions to the bounce profile, leading to a versatile sole design that performs from any angle of attack.

PROGRESSIVE OFFSET A progressive offset design generates higher ball flights in the longer irons and penetrating, controlled trajectories in the scoring irons, enabling precise distance control.

CAvITY design The custom tuning port sits very low and supports a thin face to generate faster ball speeds. The CTP and an undercut cavity help position the CG low and back to optimise launch and forgiveness while ensuring a solid feel at impact to inspire confidence.

G30 FaiRway woods

Launch with confidEnce. The G30 fairway woods are engineered with distance in mind, but we didn’t sacrifice the control, high launch and confidence that you rely on from a fairway wood, whether you are playing from the tee or the fairway.

hotter face The added strength of the Carpenter 475 steel face allowed us to create a thin, uniform-thickness face, which maximises face deflection during impact to increase ball speed for greater distance.

tuRbulators The turbulators crafted into the crown create a captured appearance that assists with alignment and provides unparalleled confidence.

Progressive cg positions A low and deep CG in the 3-wood promotes a high launch with appropriate spin. The CG progresses more forward and lower in the 5 and 7-woods to keep the launch angle and spin characteristics uniquely optimised for distance and control in each clubhead.

GREATER BALL SPEEDS AND STEEPER LANDING ANGLE To increase face deflection and ball speed for adding distance with a higher peak trajectory, the 17-4 stainless steel face uses a stronger H900 heat-treatment process, making it thin but strong. The result is the steeper landing angle you need to hold shots on the green.

LAUNCH WITH FORGIVENESS AND CONTROL The G30 hybrids benefit from performanceengineered internal weight pads. Heel-toe weighting elevates the MOI and forgiveness. Weight in the low sole creates a low-back CG for consistent impact and helps launch the ball high and on target.

PROGRESSIVE CG POSITIONS In the lower-lofted hybrids, the CG is further back to promote high launch. A lower, more forward CG through the mid and higher-lofted models reduces spin. Progressive CG locations and offsets ensure efficient gapping and trajectories that maximise distance.
