Living Coral, this year’s Colour of the Year, is an animating and life-affirming shade of orange with a gorgeous golden undertone. Otherwise known by its official Pantone code 16-1546, Living Coral is vibrant, yet mellow at the same time, and couldn’t be more perfect for our tropical way of life. Living Coral replaces last year’s Colour of the Year, Ultra Violet, a deep purple hue, which many would argue was a more difficult colour to incorporate into day-to-day lives. According to Pantone, Living Coral, was chosen in reaction to the onslaught of digital technology in our daily lives. The colour represents the fusion of modern life and aims to enable connection and intimacy.
