On-trend beauty

Fancy giving your makeup look an overhaul? Then turn to the catwalks for some on-trend inspiration. The autumn/ winter 2019 catwalks have shown a return to some of beauty’s most classic looks, including smokey eyes and red lips, alongside some more experimental trends, from neon lashes to a pinch of shimmer and sparkle for disco-inspired drama.

Brows

Brows continue to dominate the beauty conversation. This season they have moved from the wild brushedup brows of previous years to ones that are a little bit more groomed for a more polished appearance. Get the look: The Precision Brow Pencil by Kevyn Aucoin.

Lips

Kiss goodbye to gloopy glosses, and instead embrace the trend for gorgeous red lips in ultra-matte finishes, a bold beauty classic which is always in fashion. Eyes

Disco-style drama was seen on eyes, from gold foil adorned to full-on glitter, alongside a return to the classic smoky eye. For added drama, embrace this year’s wide-eyed look with lashings of mascara on both upper and lower lashes, or opt for falsies – in on-trend neon colours if you dare! - for a truly dramatic look. Skin

Natural looking, glowing skin was seen on the catwalks, with makeup artists focusing on creating a dewy complexion, covering imperfections where needed only. Instead of full-coverage foundations, opt for lightweight formulas, such as tinted moisturisers, blemish balms, and colour correcting creams that allow your natural complexion to shine at its very best.
