Schmitten zell am see
Float up to the 2,000 m summit with the world’s first designer cable car from the house of Porsche Design and enjoy the magnificent view of more than 30 three thousand metre peaks. Discover a diverse mountain experience for the whole family on the high altitude promenade or the new “Schmidolins Sonnenreich” adventure route. Schmidolins Baptism of Fire Families can go on a journey of discovery along the adventure route. “Schmidolins Feuerstuhl” gives cool kids the opportunity to ride electric bikes around the highest motocross park in Austria. The best way to reach the adventure path with its mini rope courses, adventure stations and electric bike course is with the Areit l train or the cityXpress. Discgolf is a combination of frisbee and golf. The world’s highest 18 hole course for beginners and pros is becoming more and more popular with hikers. Discgolf frisbees can be hired in the InfoCenter at the Schmittenhöhebahn valley station and at the Sonnkogelbahn top station.

Entry: With the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card all lifts can be used as often as you like. In July and August the Schmittenhöhe lift to the peak can be used at no extra charge once within 6 days. Special trips outside the hours of operation as stated below are excluded. Guided hiking tours, according to the Schmitten hiking programme, are free with the summer card. Maiskogel Kaprun
The Maiskogel is the mountain for families to enjoy in the centre of Kaprun. The green meadows, clear mountain streams and a well-planned network of paths invite you to hike, mountain bike, linger and relax. The free guided tours with Willi, our authorised hiking guide, are an unforgettable experience. He takes you to the most beautiful places with amazing views of the Kitzsteinhorn, the Hohe Tauern and the lake Zell. Enjoy Pinzgau specialities and home-made alm products in the six sustainably managed huts and snack bars. The petting zoo next to the sunny terrace of the Maiskogel Alm is a favourite place with kids. Kaprun High altitude reservoirs
Experience the power of water and eternal ice: modern transfer buses take you from the Kaprun valley to one of the Austrian mountain regions with the greatest abundance of water. Deep blue lakes are waiting to be discovered and the panoramic views of the Großglockner group are unique. You climb 1.200 altitude metres in only 45 minutes, through natural rock tunnels along the waterfall floor. Both the Mooserboden and Wasserfallboden dams together store more than 160 Mio. m³ of water. Take a look inside the dam wall of the Moosersperre by joining a guided tour (special children’s tour: every Tuesday at 1.15pm, July – August). The “Electricity & Ice” adventure world tells you the history of the Hohe Tauern and its Tauern power. More knowledge about electricity gained from water power can be gathered at the main power station’s information centre. There are marked paths around the dams for exploring the Hohe Tauern – whether it be discovering the educational herbal path or a walk around the Höhenburg viewing point. The herb path is ideal for families and easily wide enough for prams. 12

Boat trip Lake Zell
Experience a wonderfully relaxing way to enjoy your holiday in Zell am See – on the water! The “MS Schmittenhöhe” makes a round trip on the Lake Zell with unforgettable, picturesque views of the Hohe Tauern mountains, the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and the Steinernes Meer. Both the “Großglockner” and “Kitzsteinhorn” boats bring guests comfortably from one shore to the other across the lake. Round trips and charter tours are an unforgettable pleasure. Sigmund-Thun Gorge Kaprun
Visitors walk along a narrow path over many wooden planks and bridges beside steep rocky walls. The tumultuous wild water of the Kaprun river is a fascinating natural spectacle, which you should not miss! 14,000 years ago the whole Kaprun valley was covered by a glacier. The Ritzen Castle museum is home to many historical displays of rural life and a large number of important folkloristic exhibits. Mining and gothic Museum | Leogang
Dive into the world of the Middle Ages. Experience the spiritual world and beliefs of the medieval knaves in this museum in the former mining village of Hütten. Here you can follow the tracks of medieval mineworkers in the oldest silver mine in the state of Salzburg. Explore the historical tunnels with your mining guide. Vorderkaser Gorge st. martin
Tread the breathtaking path of this fascinating natural landmark. Your walk takes you over 51 footbridges and 35 stairs with a total of 373 steps. The path to the entrance of the Vorderkaser Gorge leads you through a beautiful recreational and natural bathing area. When the Ice Age glaciers melted 12,000 to 14,000 years ago, the Ödenbach started to eat away the hard rock and this impressive gorge was created. Seisenberg Gorge weiSSbach
This gorge is the door to the “Weissbach nature park” and is therefore an ideal starting point for a variety of walking tours. The stops for the ALM adventure bus are also right on the path. There is a torchlight walk once a week accompanied by live music by the Weisenbläsern and this is an unique experience. You can feel the power of the water in the Kitzloch Gorge. Marvel at this unique natural spectacle, the spectacular bridges and impressive hermitage.
The Krimml waterfalls are the highest in Europe and received the conservation award from the Council of Europe. The thundering water can best be admired from the Warnsdorf / Krimml section of the OeAV observation path.

Special trips and opening hours are excluded from the scope of services. 3. The Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card is non-transferable. Guests receive their own card from participating accommodation providers. It may only be used during the period of validity and during their stay in the region. In cases of non-compliance or intended abuse, the card will be confiscated without substitution.
