YEAR 6 Alice T
DAWN Dawn is approaching Like a ship sailing in The sun peeps above the horizon Like a jack in the box. But the salmon is twirling Like a child snug in his bed. And the caterpillar it its cocoon, Like a viola in its case And the cat is purring happily, Like a phone vibrating. Dawn is now here Like a car which has arrived. The moon flies up Like Peter Pan soaring in the air. But the owl hoots Like an old car horn. And the koala is on the tree Like a child holding its toy. And the penguins are sliding down the ice Like a child on its sleigh. And the moles are in their holes Like corks pushed in.
