Supporting early development: birth to 4 years old Speaker: Gillian Bird Saturday October 19 2013 Benchill Sure Start and Specialist Resource Centre, 22 Lyndene Road, Benchill, Wythenshawe, Manchester M22 4PZ This workshop will provide you with information on how to support infant development through interaction and play. The course will focus on how to promote communication and language development. Participants will learn about how Down's syndrome may influence children's development and be given information derived from evidence based practice. It is suitable for parents and family carers who wish to understand the learning and development strengths and weaknesses of a child aged 0-4 with Down's syndrome and for practitioners who support families and children with Down's syndrome from birth to 4 years old. If you would like a crèche place, please book ASAP. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis due to limited places.
