Message LEONOR MAGTOLIS BRIONES DepEd Secretary
My warmest greetings to the school officials, administrators, faculty members and advisers, teachers, parents, and guardians of the graduates and completers of School Year 2021-2022! On behalf of the Department of Education (DepEd), I am proud to celebrate the successes, milestones, and achievements of this batch’s graduates and promoted students in this year’s End-ofSchool-Year rites with the theme “K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity.” In the past six years, we committed to our mandate to enhance the quality of education, broaden its access, and ensure its relevance in the rapidly changing world. DepEd endeavored to address each challenge by instituting programs and reforms in the Department. We have fully implemented the K to 12 curriculum and the aggressive reforms of Sulong EduKalidad to produce globally competitive learners and teachers. We also expanded our mission for accessible education by strengthening the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and the Last Mile Schools programs to reach more Filipinos. Likewise, we also established the National Academy of Sports (NAS) and Education Futures Unit to create more opportunities for our learners and anticipate the future of the education system in the country. Committed to sustaining this momentum, the Department developed and implemented the Basic Education-Learning Continuity Program (BE-LCP), where we offered various learning modalities and produced award-winning initiatives such as the DepEd TV and DepEd Commons at the height of the pandemic. Eventually, the Department held its ground against an unprecedented challenge in basic education as we progressively expand the reintroduction of face-to-face classes in the country. Indeed, education is truly a shared responsibility. This is why we express our utmost appreciation to our dear parents and teachers for being our partners in nurturing the youth throughout the years. To the Class of 2022, resilience is in your blood. You have survived one of the toughest times in human history, yet still embraced education as your primary tool to success. I believe that with your passion and purpose, you can reach your dreams and change the world. May you keep on harnessing and imparting wisdom as together, we will build a nation of competent global citizens and future leaders.

Message DR. RUTH L. FUENTES, CESO IV DepEd Regional Director Region IX, Zamboanga Peninsula
My warmest congratulations to the completers and graduates of Batch 2022! This year is never easy, and all of us have gone through the toughest times because of the global pandemic. Teachers and learners alike have been greatly affected by the pandemic. As we see the light at the end of the tunnel, with less and less people contacting the virus and more and more schools are opening for limited face to face classes, the feeling of great anticipation is in the air. At last, classroom will be filled with voices and intellectual noises, there will be children playing at the school grounds, teachers chatting, black/white boards with writings and all the hustles and bustles of school activities. It is undeniable that the challenges brought by the pandemic may continue in the coming years but our spirit of achieving our goals will never fade. As you take another page of your life story, bring with you the strength you acquire from your experiences. Exemplify the virtues you acquire from school as you continue to make a difference whichever path may lead you. Your success is an inspiration for all to continue believing in the worth and power of this generation. Your perseverance is a living testimony that not a single hard blow of any pandemic can ever shake the solid foundation of the Filipino learners whose values and competencies shaped your hearts and minds. The hardship you encountered has trained you to become more efficient and skilled in life. We did not only survive the pandemic, but we also thrived and will continue to flourish with the lessons we learned both from school and life outside the pages of the learning modules. Above all, seek to continuously improve and reinvent yourself to stand to make yourself more productive. To all completers and graduates, as you celebrate this moment, take time to remember your success with the advocates of quality education – your teachers, parents, education leaders, stakeholders, and your friends among others. Congratulation completers/graduates, soar high and God Bless!

Message MARLON P. MICUBO School Principal III Siocon National High School
It is with great pride that I congratulate the graduates of our very own Sionahayz for School Year 2021-2022. You have embarked an educational journey no other learners have ever gone through. You have weathered every storm brought about by the novel learning modalities. You have climbed every mountain of difficulty as we opened the school for the limited face-to-face classes. You have sailed through the raging river of uncertainty as you bravely adapted to these sudden changes. And so here you are with high spirits, rising above it all, bearing witness to the indubitable Filipino brand of resilience. Know that you are not alone in this journey. Your Alma Mater is here with you as you brave through life beyond senior high school. Bring with you the knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes you harnessed in your years of stay in our institution. Take pride in the fact that you were honed by the best mentors Siocon has to offer. Treasure the memories you made— both the good and the not-so—for they will guide you as you pursue loftier dreams. May I also congratulate your teachers who were also caught off guard in the changes we made just to continue education despite a global pandemic. They are worthy of our respect and high regard as they pushed beyond their limits to weave the tapestry that is our Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan. Without them, you will not be going up that stage to receive your well-deserved diplomas. I earnestly pray that all of you will achieve your aspirations in life so that you will become effective contributors to nation building. May you help build a nation where we no longer need to become resilient, a nation free from unwarranted adversities. Again, congratulations and keep moving forward!

Doxology/Graduation Song
Siocon National High School
Shoulders I look up to the mountains Does my strength come from the mountains? No, my strength comes from God Who made heaven and earth, and the mountains When confusion’s my companion And despair holds me for ransom I will feel no fear I know that You are near When I’m caught deep in the valley With chaos for my company I’ll find my comfort here ‘Cause I know that You are near [Chorus] My help comes from You You’re right here, pulling me through You carry my weakness, my sickness, my brokenness All on Your shoulders Your shoulders My help comes from You You are my rest, my rescue I don’t have to see to believe that You’re lifting me up on Your shoulders Your shoulders You mend what once was shattered And You turn my tears to laughter Your forgiveness is my fortress Oh, Your mercy is relentless [Repeat chorus]
My help is from You Don’t have to see it to believe it My help is from You Don’t have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it’s true My help is from You Don’t have to see it to believe it My help is from You Don’t have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it’s true [Repeat chorus] My help is from You Don’t have to see it to believe it My help is from You Don’t have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it’s true My help is from You Don’t have to see it to believe it My help is from You Don’t have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it’s true My help is from You Don’t have to see it to believe it My help is from You Don’t have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it’s true My help is from You Don’t have to see it to believe it My help is from You Don’t have to see it, ‘cause I know, ‘cause I know it’s true
This is My Now There was a time I packed my dreams away Livin’ in a shell, hiding from myself There was a time When I was so afraid I thought I’d reached the end Baby, that was then I am made of more than my yesterdays Chorus: This is my now And I am breathing in the moment As I look around I can’t believe the love I see My fears behind me Gone are the shadows and doubt That was then This is my now

I had to decide, was I gonna play it safe Well but somewhere deep inside I tried to turn the tide And find the strength to take that step of faith [Repeat chorus] And I have a courage like never before I settled for less, but I’m ready for more Ready for more [Repeat chorus twice]
