Project Objectives

 Expose interested engineering and geology students and young professionals to the criticality and nature of the landslide problem in SW PA and to state-of-thepractice techniques  Provide a forum for exposing interested students to professionals working the landslide problem and for exchanging information among participating professionals University of Pittsburgh | Swanson School of Engineering

Cooperation of local geotechnical community Three seminars held in fall of 2020  Initial seminar for students  Final two for students & professionals

Over 400 participants, 60% or so students 18 total technical presentations during final two seminars Monitoring, mitigation, application of technologies
