Peyman Givi awarded AIAA Dryden Lectureship in Research

Dr. Katherine Hornbostel was invited to give a talk at the Carnegie Science Center’s Café Scientifique in December to discuss her latest research. “This presentation breaks down what carbon capture is, how it can be performed, and where it should be placed. Dr. Hornbostel also shares a few of her latest research projects in this area- ranging from net-zero fossil power plant models to capturing CO2 from the oceans while making fresh drinking water ”

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) announced the 2024 AIAA Dryden Lectureship in Research was awarded to Peyman Givi, Distinguished Professor and James T Macleod Chair of Engineering, and Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Givi delivered his lecture, “The Promise of Quantum Computing for Aerospace Science and Engineering,” Monday, 8 January, 5:30pm ET, during the 2024 AIAA SciTech Forum, Orlando, Florida
