Root systems come in all depths and sizes, but the larger the tree, the more significant the substructure. No matter the roots, the purpose remains the same: to supply the necessary nutrients for the tree and support the growth in the canopy above ground. Roots may not be glamorous, but they are essential.
The Apostle Paul’s challenge applies to us as individuals and at Impactus. We are determined to put our roots down deep in Christ and build our lives and ministry on Him. By being rooted in Him, we believe we can grow wider in our influence, reach men for Christ, build godly leaders, and grow effective local ministry to men.
As we begin the final year of our three-year strategic plan, we are grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness through the rebranding process and rebuilding in this post-pandemic era. Our work is not done. We are committed to growing deeper roots through our ministry programs, having greater clarity in our objectives, better efficiency in our systems, and stronger relationships and partnerships. These roots will enable new growth so that the fruit is long-lasting, the impact is transformational, and all the praise is directed heavenward.
We are grateful for the intricate root system of our incredible staff, Board and Advisory Board, Network leaders, volunteers, faithful donors, and partners who form this ministry. Together, we will grow stronger in our thankfulness, in His truth, and in His calling to see every man become, grow, and live as disciples of Jesus.

Since last year’s Impactus Annual Report, the world has become an even darker and chaotic mess on many levels. That’s the bad news. The good news is that the Good News of the Gospel is still the answer! It’s not “an” answer; it is the “only” answer.
Darryl Dash (also a writer for Impactus) said this: “The world’s a mess, but our primary focus should not be on what’s wrong with the world but on staying faithful even in the hardest of times. Our biggest challenge isn’t the world. It’s ourselves — our own obedience and perseverance. May God help us to stay faithful.” Those are wise words!
Impactus continues to focus on equipping men and leaders of men for a life of purpose and to make a godly impact in this messy world. That is a high calling. The Board of Directors is committed to protecting that vision and providing the best possible governance to enable the staff, the corporation members, the men’s ministry networks, and the countless men connecting with this ministry to fulfill that vision in their spheres of influence and passionately serve their local church. The Board of Directors is reviewing the governance model that will best make the ministry as effective as it can be for the good of the Kingdom.
2 Corinthians 3:18 says that “we are being transformed into [Christ’s] likeness” while Romans 8:29 states that God predestined [all believers] to be conformed to the likeness of his Son.” Bridges says, “Christlikeness is God’s goal for all who trust in Christ, and that should be our goal also.”
Please pray for the Board of Directors to meet the challenges set before us and earnestly pray for men to take the challenge to Christlikeness and to making a godly impact seriously.
Grace and Peace
Our vision is to see every man become, grow, and live as a disciple of Jesus. Men’s Ministry Leadership Training equips men’s ministry leaders to share the vision of discipling every man in their church and community. It moves ministry to men from events-focused to discipleship-focused, helping shape men to be like Jesus.
We launched our Men’s Ministry Leadership Training platform in November 2023. This video curriculum includes 6 modules and 33 short lessons, which leaders can participate in at their own pace. Sixty-seven men’s ministry leaders are enrolled in the leadership training, and many more are expected to begin in fall 2024.
Six men completed our first Small Group Leader cohort this past year and gave very positive feedback on the 8-week experience. As an integral part of ministry to men, we are developing an introductory small group training and holding two 8-week cohorts in F25. As highlighted in our Leadership training curriculum, our goal is to help men lead transformational small groups as part of their ministry to men. The training is very hands-on and experiential, delivered in 3 levels, based on an assessment that will determine an individual’s needs and experience:

2. Advanced Course
3. Master’s Course to train trainers who can teach the course to others
Coaching is a core element of our Men’s Ministry Leadership and Small Group Leader Training, helping leaders process and implement what they learn. As part of a new Men’s Ministry Leader Network strategy, we plan to offer 2 free coaching sessions to all members of the Impactus Network to help grow ministry to men in the local church.
The third annual Men’s Ministry Leadership Summit in September 2023 was extremely well received by hundreds of men’s ministry leaders. Hosted live online from the Crossroads Studios in Burlington, Ontario, the event included Mark Miller (Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Canada), Matt Wilkinson (Director of CBOQ Next Generation), and Steve Sonderman (No Regrets Men’s Ministry). The theme was “Rethinking Men’s Ministry,” encouraging leaders to rethink how they do ministry to men, focusing on discipleship, and calling leaders to go deeper, wider, and stronger.

The fourth annual Leadership Summit will take place on Monday, September 23 rd , 2024, as we encourage leaders to build a ministry to men that has a lasting impact.
The Vision of our Men’s Ministry Leader Network is “To see every man become, grow, and live as a disciple of Jesus.”
The Purpose of our Leadership Networks is “To develop ministry to men in every community through the local church.”
Over the past year, we have seen tremendous growth in network participation, with over 200 men’s ministry leaders signing on to join the network. In F25, our goal will be to offer network members greater value, developing a much stronger “toolbox” of resources to help them grow as leaders and to disciple more men in their local churches and communities. New resources will include 2 free coaching sessions, short and long-form leader tip videos, and an exclusive Facebook Group for network members to build community, share ideas, and learn from one another. We will also work on defining the roles of both Regional and Community Network Leaders to be laser-focused on the purpose of growing ministry to men in communities across Canada in the local church.

We have continued with our first international test network in Zimbabwe, which has four participating churches, and a new network in Michigan, USA.
We continue to see tremendous growth in Quebec under the leadership of Bruno Savard, Community Relations Manager (directeur des relations communautaires). Bruno held a number of workshops across the province, ministering to men and casting the ministry’s vision.
We continue to deliver new content on the Hommes de Parole website and social media and have seen an increase in financial support from monthly and one-time donors. We have established a partnership with the Canadian Bible Society in Québec, which has been a tremendous blessing for both ministries.

We saw God do amazing things at the Impactus Conferences this past year. Men came from great distances to gather together to worship Jesus and to hear powerful messages from dynamic speakers.
Over 2,300 men gathered in Burlington, Ottawa, Edmonton, and Winnipeg, as we called them to be “Steadfast” in their walk with God, “always abounding in the work of the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58). We also hosted our 2 nd annual event After Party in Winnipeg, complete with food, games and archery tag, which was a huge hit.

I appreciated the time to connect with guys of different ages. Also, the worship band was very talented. Good work. The speakers all said something that resonated with me, and I will carry it for years to come.
We hosted 3 new events over the past year called Timeout.
A combination of worship, speakers, food, and fun, these events are locally focused and driven by network leaders and pastors in local communities. The events were quite successful, paving the way for two Timeouts in F25.

Over the past year, workshops have been vital to equipping men in critical areas of their lives. We hosted 14 in-person workshops, ministering to 645 men across Canada.

We launched 6 video-on-demand download workshops, allowing us to minister to men globally, along with half-day and full-day Timeout Events. Churches can select from a series of pre-recorded keynote speaker messages, workshops, tools, and coaching to help promote and facilitate impactful events.

Finding guests that would resonate with the next generation was a challenge, but we were able to produce an episode with Jon Keith, a Christian hip-hop artist whose story impacted a lot of men of all ages. Jon’s testimony was a powerful story of redemption from thoughts of suicide and feeling unwanted by God. His story has been viewed over 93,000 times and has spoken to an issue that many men face today.

We have two great stories scheduled for the first half of F25, with Ruslan, a Christian YouTuber and hip-hop artist, and Miles Minick, a Christian Hip-Hop artist and actor. Two more episodes are planned for the second half of F25.
We developed a powerful video story about Chris Kapitaniuk, an Impactus Network Member and avid ministry supporter. It’s a powerful testimony of God’s grace and love, as Chris tells the story of his journey from addiction and attempted suicide to finding God’s love and the true meaning of what a godly man is supposed to be through an Impactus online conference in 2020.
We showed this video at each of the four Impactus Men’s Conferences, with Chris attending 3 events in person to address the audience and share his testimony. At each conference, Chris was met with standing ovations and ministered to many men. God is using Chris in mighty and powerful ways.

The Impactus Podcast continues to address a wide range of issues for men, such as marriage, biblical stewardship, mental health, and much more.
This past year we spoke with many reputable guests, impacting nearly 16,000 men who watched or listened to the podcast throughout the year.
Hosted by Jordan Harnum, the Young Man’s Podcast addresses tough questions and challenges, reaching over 6,000 younger men this year.
Covering topics such as finances, growing as a man, and being a dad in an unchristian world, the response has been very positive and impactful.
We continue to grow our social media followers, with over 18,000 on Facebook and Instagram.
Reach on social media exceeded 41 million this past year, with over 45,000 likes and reactions to our content.
We officially launched as Impactus in September 2023, turning the page from Promise Keepers Canada while remembering the legacy that we were built on. An online-focused ministry, we are reaching men around the world through digital resources and events while continuing to hold in-person conferences and Timeouts to equip and impact men across Canada.
Our web and social media traffic grew dramatically in F24, with 638,102 unique web visitors and 1,739,893 ministry connections, up 14% over the previous year. We have seen a growth in our international reach as we continue to see a strong need for ministry to men beyond the borders of North America.
Over 2,600 men attended our national conferences and Regional Timeouts, while nearly 700 men attended 14 workshops across Canada addressing men’s needs. Over 300 leaders participated in the Men’s Ministry Leadership Summit, and nearly 400 men watched the online conference Simulcast, streamed live from our Burlington conference in November.
We continue to see God’s hand upon the ministry and the direction to become Impactus that He birthed years ago. We are reaching men globally online, impacting the next generation of men, and equipping men in Canada through in-person events, all to point men to Jesus.
