Planning Decision 76 NEW GRAVES TO BE EXCAVATED AT EXISTING CEMETERY IN MELLIEHA The Planning Authority has approved planning permission to increase the number of graves at an existing cemetery in Mellieha. The number of graves at the cemetery will nearly double, with 76 new graves going to be excavated in an area of barren land that exists within the confines of the existing cemetery. Read More

Heritage Planning IN ALL ITS SPLENDOR - THE TRITON FOUNTAIN In the coming weeks, the Triton Fountain at the entrance of our capital city will be formally inaugurated for the first time. Enforcement MORE ENFORCEMENT CASES CLOSED OFF BY OWNERS Over the past days, enforcement officers within the Planning Authority have managed to close off, through persuasion, a number of cases where development was carried out without the necessary permission. The illegalities were carried out in the localities of Bormla,, San Pawl il-Bahar and Zejtun. Read More

Health Care DRIVE TO BOOST BLOOD BANK A Blood drive was organized by the Planning Authority for its employees and visiting clients. Over 25 bags of blood were collected in a matter of a few hours. The National Blood Transfusion Centre thanked the Authority's staff for giving a much needed boost to the blood reserves, which normally need approximately 40 to 50 units of blood to daily meet the demands from hospitals.

Protecting Buildings and Monuments in Valletta AUBERGE DE PROVENCE

Auberge de Provance was built as the hostel of the French knights from Provance between 1571 and 1575 under the directions of Girolamo Cassar. The faรงade was remodelled in the mid-17th century and is attributed to Mederico Blondel (active in Malta 1659 -1698). Read More
