Book Review JOSEPH M SPITERI – A MALTESE ARCHITECT AND HIS WORK This book sets out to bring together some of the architectural drawings and projects produced by Perit Joseph M. Spiteri (1934-2013) throughout the course of his long career as a design architect working in Malta in the years 1958-1998. Among the many works illustrated are various buildings which have long become familiar landmarks, such as the Kennedy Memorial Grove at Salina and many others. Read more

Employee Profile TECHNOLOGY FACILITATES HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT An interview with Mr Roderick Micallef an administrative assistant, who has been working for the past eight years within the Planning Authority. His main role is to oversee the adminstration of employees’ attendance. This also includes the training of personnel in using the human resources information system and supervision of its maintenance. Read more

Protecting Buildings and Monuments in Valletta MAISONS DEMANDOLS Maisons Demandols is located in South Street opposite the Fine Arts Museum. It is a Baroque building consisting of three houses having facades in the same architectural treatment. In 1652 these three houses were acquired by Balthazar de Demandolx, who was the Provencal Bailiff and Captain-General of the Galleys of the Order after whom the houses are named. Read More

The applications and decisions are set out by locality and within each locality in reference number order. One can also view the list of stop and enforcement notices. Read More
