TEST AND ADJUST

PACKING INSTRUCTIONS • • • • • •

Load heavier items towards the wearer. Utilise the compression straps, they will minimise movement of the pack when in use. The Modular Helmet cradle compression straps should be released before inserting the helmet. When carrying a helmet always carry helmet brim up. The belt ends when not in use can be stowed within the belt pad pockets. When pack is used without helmet cradle, a quick pull tab can be utilised for medic’s loads.

Place the pack on the ground and identify the ladder lock located on each shoulder strap.

Adjust the ladder lock on each shoulder pad to a position that is roughly on top of the shoulder.

Take up the pack and tighten shoulder harness by pulling the webbing straps in a downwards direction.

Locate the upper harness adjustment and tighten by pulling the webbing straps in a forwards direction.

TEST AND ADJUST PRIOR TO DEPARTURE • • • • • •

Test your harness for balance and comfort prior to any activity to avoid injury. Ensure that shoulder straps are balanced and secure. Check all quick release mechanisms are locked in place. Check frame is secure to your pack. If it is loosely attached, your pack will sway potentially causing discomfort or injury. Inspect harness and frame for signs of damge from previous activities. Ensure that all excess webbing straps are secure and tidy to limit snagging or tripping.

TEST AND ADJUST

The shoulder straps should look similar to the above.

Clip the belt together and tighten by pulling the webbing straps in a forwards direction.
