PENINSULA Peninsula est une série photographique de portraits se focalisant sur les nouvelles sous-cultures des micro-réalités dans le Lazio (centre de l’Italie). Le but est de saisir leur style ou leur appartenance, à travers leur façon de s’habiller et leurs gestes quotidiens, par le biais d’une attitude ou d’une pose spécifique. Peninsula is a photographic series of portraits focusing on the new sub cultures in the micro realities in Lazio (center of Italy). The goal is to grasp their style or belonging, from dressing to daily gestures, through a specific attitude or pose.

Par un travail du geste et du souffle, Niki Stylianou interroge ici la Nature fractale. Cette série se présente alors comme un voyage des sens, de la figuration à l’abstraction, du monochrome au polychrome, de la légèreté à plus de densité. L’artiste sonde, dans les profondeurs de la matière, notre véritable essence, sa vibration originelle : Quintessence. Looking for harmony between pictural gesture and breath, Niki Stylianou, quests here, the fractal Nature. This series appears like a travel of senses, between abstraction and more figurative forms, from monochrome to polychrome, from lightness to more density. The artist probes in the depth of the material, our inner essence, the primal vibration :Quinte Essencia.

LIGHT AND POLAR SEAS Trois mois passés aux confins de l’Arctique à naviguer aux abords du Groenland. Une quête, celle de la lumière. Une réponse (parmi d’autres) : le silence n’existe pas. Toujours de la glace qui craque et des chiens qui hurlent. Trois mois comme un seul jour, le jour polaire, où jamais le soleil ne décline assez pour laisser place à la nuit. Three months spent on the edge of the Arctic to sail on the outskirts of Greenland. A quest: the light. One answer (among others): silence does not exist. Still ice creaking and dogs screaming. Three months as a single day, the polar day, when the sun never declines enough to move on to the night.

Les textes scientifiques ont souvent tendance à être secs et super-sérieux, alors je voulais créer des images colorées, ironiques et amusantes. Scientific texts often tend to be dry and super-serious, so I wanted to make images that are colorful, ironic and fun.

Sid est une artiste collagiste parisienne qui, lasse de voir des morceaux de rue souvent cassés et laissés à l’abandon, a décidé d’en ramasser certains et de leur redonner une deuxième vie pour faire d’eux, non plus des morceaux de rue anonymes mais bel et bien de beaux objets d’art sur lesquels on s’arrête et que l’on regarde. Une autre vision du street art... Chacun de ces objets est unique. Les pavés et pièces de chantier viennent tous de Paris. Les os et autres bouts de bois ont quant à eux été ramassés dans les profondeurs des forêts du Périgord Noir. Sid is a Parisian collagist artist who, tired of seeing pieces of street often broken and left to the abandonment, decided to pick some and give them a second life to make them either pieces of street anonymous but beautiful works of art on which one stops and looks. Another vision of street art... Each of these objects is unique. The paving stones and the construction materials all come from Paris. The bones and other pieces of wood have been picked up in the depths of the Black Perigord forests.
