O
ur focus in developing the INFYNITO 90 was to offer guests an unprecedented yachting experience. Our design strategy focused on the people who will be living on board, putting human experience at the centre of the creative process. We asked ourselves what could still surprise and satisfy the increasingly sophisticated expectations of owners who want to live on board in more versatile and comfortable ways. This approach led us to explore innovative forms and functions,

inventing new spaces and ways to enjoy the yacht. Our vision in creating the exterior design was guided by a desire to capture the adventurous and dynamic essence of the boat. INFYNITO 90’s exterior aesthetic is one of clean, modern lines and a design that brings together elements of elegance and sportiness. The flowing curves create a sensation of harmony and equilibrium. As this is a product with impressive spaces, we had to find the right equation of volumes and forms. The two fashion plates midships represent a turning point in our design journey and showcase an innovative and provocative concept, one capable of redefining the traditional paradigms in naval design. The decision to put them in this position is a bold idea that aesthetically joins the two exterior decks while also highlighting two fundamental characteristics: the revolutionary forward terrace and the spacious stern deck. This also creates a sense of verticality, counterpointing the sinuous and horizontal forms of the decks. Our approach to design in this range tends towards modernity without embracing minimalism. We’re looking for an elegance that’s provocative without being banal. The presence of the two fashion plates is a statement of intent: to create a yacht that’s not only aesthetically striking but tells a story and arouses curiosity.

T
he INFYNITO 90 presented us with a new challenge because the requirements for internal-external interconnection were practically doubled. The forward terrace creates a new dynamic in terms of both passenger flow and how the bow area is used, and we realised we’d have to model a different space – one that could interact equally well with both bow and stern sections. Hence a new layout that doesn’t create physical or visual confines anywhere on the main deck. The project’s central theme is a pondered use of materials, without layering too many finishes, and enriching with discreet cabinetry detailing. The choice of materials reflects the mission to achieve a sustainability that’s substantial and perceived. The fabrics, wood and finishing materials are eco-compatible, recycled and recyclable, and they’ve been chosen with a view to weight saving. There’s an ever-greater focus on energy efficiency too. A special design effort was made to optimise the air conditioning and lighting systems. This yacht’s uncluttered linear design, the soft feel of the ceilings, the vertical dynamic of the brushstrokes and the freestanding furniture are all stylistic features of the range as a whole. Nothing jars with the rational, solid and practical spirit that is intrinsic in all Ferretti Yachts boats. The influence from home furnishing design is quite clear. The key ideas are understatement, clean lines, softness and an equilibrium of forms and materials, without ever lapsing into minimalism, and featuring ergonomics and spatial distribution that are both informal and versatile. The upholstery and coverings are characterised by soft radial patterns that transmit positivity and softness, while the reflections in the mirror walls produce the project’s signature sense of spatial ‘infinity’, even in the most unlikely spaces.

‘F
urther than you can Sea’ is the concept underpinning INFYNITO 90 and it perfectly expresses the defining characteristics of this new project: a focus on the environment, extensive customisation, unprecedented layout innovations and visual continuity between interiors and exteriors. With the INFYNITO 90, Ferretti Yachts has embraced the owner’s perspective in order to imagine and create a new and superior yachting experience. We imagine owners with a profound love of the sea and nature, which they want to enjoy to the fullest while feeling at home on board, in total comfort and without sacrificing privacy. They want to be able to enjoy the sea year-round in any conditions, not only during the summer season when the weather is fine. Thanks to the All-Season Terrace they can. As such, the INFYNITO range is conceived to enable owners to enjoy onboard life as if the yacht were an extension of their home, a place in which to breathe light and where the dialogue between interior and exterior produces a sensation of total satisfaction. With the INFYNITO 90, we have achieved an important goal: we’ve managed to integrate materials and elements into the design of a boat that are innovative in terms of sustainability but also maintain the ‘Just Like Home’ characteristics typical of Ferretti Yachts, offering the market a truly different proposition. Ferretti Yachts’ INFYNITO 90 is a one-of-a-kind yacht designed to offer the experience of life at sea in a sustainable way and with personalisation at every level. With INFYNITO 90 – the first model in the INFYNITO range – we wanted to chart a new course, first and foremost for Ferretti Yachts the brand, but also for yachting in general.
For Ferretti Yachts, the characteristics that underpin the INFYNITO 90 include a focus on the environment, extensive customisation, unprecedented layout innovations, and visual continuity between interiors and exteriors. The bridge features a Simrad Command integrated dashboard
