M/Y
La Vie is a joint project from the Leonardo Santi Design Studio, the Mengi Yay yard and her owner. Inspired by the studio’s Elegantiae concept, her clean, spare lines yield a chicly modern aesthetic. Light wood walls and white ceilings feel wonderfully bright, while Calacatta marble detailing lends character. Lighting is used architecturally to craft different scenarios: long LED strip lights in the saloon lend the space a dynamic modernism, for instance. Deftly paired dark and light woods offer the rich yet warm, welcoming ambience the owner wanted
for his family. Art plays a pivotal role aboard with backlit frames showcasing the owner’s handpicked pieces in the main saloon and lobbies. This was a suggestion given by Leonardo Santi Design studio, creating perfect niches to stimulate the client to select beautiful artworks. La Vie feels much larger than she actually is, punching well above her weight with four cabins on her lower deck, a master suite on the main, and two further guest cabins plus a small study and saloon on the upper. www.leonardosantidesign.com
