The struggles of life are no mystery to Viggio Acosta; a new artist out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Enduring the woes of street life and family issues made this young rapper desire something different in the world. Viggio grew up listening to Max Minelli, Young Bleed, Mystikal, Big Tymers, BG, Turk, Juvenile, Lil Wayne, Slim Thugga, Z­Ro, Pimp C, Bun B, Outkast­ Southern rappers; mostly Louisiana natives.

From freestyle battles to artist showcases at 600 Main & Club Empire, Viggio has worked with local talent like; Box, Trey Bank$, Money Fat, & J John. “ Spitting around my homie “Don Juan”; He convinced me I should give the Rap game a try,

I have the talent to do it! He told me to keep spitting & never give up no matter what” says Viggio Acosta.

With the increasing popularity of rap music during the early 2000s, his influences growing up were Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane, Maino, Birdman and most of all; Young Jeezy. Viggio salutes Young Jeezy because of his longevity in the game; but strongly influenced by the dedication of 2 Chainz, formerly known as Tity Boi.”He made me really want to Rap; made me think that it’s possible” says Viggio Acosta.

Viggio Acosta pays homage to Alley Boy; as well.” I don’t like to compare no one to anybody else because I feel everyone is their own person; but I respect him like how people feel about Pac, “The Realist to Me”.”

Many indie artists inspire Viggio; which gives a sense of hope when it comes to succeeding as an indie artist. Viggio is a mixture of different styles and new flavor; under the direction of Money Fat at Boss Life Ent & Corey Hut “International Jones”­ with their guidance in such a short time,he’s making his way to the top.

In 2014, Viggio has dropped singles; “Imported” & “Flyest In This B*tch . He also plans to drop his Mixtape “I Am Legend” in the Fall of 2014. “I want my music to connect with my Fans through their ups & downs to let them know; you can be whatever you want to be; as long as you have a solid Team & the confidence to “Get Up & Get Out” and do the “50” Get Rich Or Die Tryin grind! ”.
