TABLE OF CONTENTS School will soon be out which means summer is just around the corner. It appears that our Country, State, and our community are making progress against Covid-19, but what does that mean for you and what does that mean for our Department? We are definitely in a better place than we were a year ago and will be able to offer more events and classes. With that being said, we must still be prudent and follow sound medical advice. Due to this everchanging event, we have decided not to do a mass printing of our Play by Play but try and keep everything digital. In order to stay up to date on the latest news, information and all the FUN happenings this summer, be sure to connect with us online at templeparks.com, on Facebook and on Instagram. You may also reach out to us at 298.5690 and we will be happy to assist you.

Harper Brothers publishing firm in New York sought to capitalize on this and chose Jules Tavernier and Paul Frenzeny to create images of the frontier. These men were skilled at depicting newsworthy places or events that favored the plight of the common man. Tavernier created each engraving’s watercolor painting before handing it off to Frenzeny, who added newsworthy details and drew the scene in pencil on wood blocks. Their engravings depict their 1873 cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco and the introduction of the American West to late nineteenth-century America.
