SPECIAL NEEDS SWIM LESSONS
We are now offering a special needs youth swimming lesson class for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, between the ages of 6 and 14. This swimming lesson course is tailored to meet the needs of each child, so that he or she can progress at a comfortable pace. And although some children may advance more quickly or slowly, our instructors ensure that everyone receives the instruction they need. Registration opens April 1st and can be completed at Sammons Indoor Pool. Aquacize helps build strength and endurance while toning muscles in a low-impact environment. Leg workouts in the water emphasize your lower body as the water gives you submerged muscles up to 14 times the resistance of air! The harder you work, the more resistance you encounter. Add in a specialized upper body workout and it’s a total fitness package! You must be 18 or older to participate in instructed classes unless approved by the Pool Manager.

Reservations can be made through the Parks & Recreation Administration Office by calling 254.298.5690. All rentals must be for a 2 hour minimum; time is whatever the renter chooses. Cancellations must be made prior to 48 hours of the rental date for refunds to be given. A $100 deposit is required and will be returned if the facility is left in good condition. If the building is not left clean, or if there is any kind of damage, the amount returned will be decided by the facilities manager.

The Gober Party House is a great place to rent for family reunions, wedding receptions, business meetings, birthday parties, seminars or classes, service club meetings and more! Reservations can be made through the Parks and Recreation Administration Office by calling 254.298.5690. All rentals must be for a 2 hour minimum; time is whatever the renter chooses. Cancellations must be made prior to 48 hours of the rental date for refunds to be given. A $100 deposit is required and will be returned if the facility is left in good condition. If the building is not left clean, or if there is any kind of damage, the amount returned will be decided by the facilities manager.
