The Yard Food Truck Plaza is a delicious foodie experience you won't want to miss! At The Yard, guests can taste the flavors of a variety of cuisines and entrees as well as enjoy special events and live performances. There is plenty of seating available with picnic tables as well as an expansive green space that allows guests to picnic at the food truck plaza. The food trucks operate on their own, specified schedules found at theyardtemple.com. Check to make sure your favorite food truck will be there before you go or simply scope out the menus of all the trucks on-site and get a feel for the next entree you want to try.

WHERE IS THE FOOD TRUCK PLAZA LOCATED?

The Yard Food Truck Plaza is located at 212 S Main St. The food truck plaza is near the Santa Fe Depot, Kid's Stop Park, and across from Mo's Rail Yard Saloon.

THE TRUCKS

There are currently seven food trucks stationed at The Yard Food Truck Plaza. The food trucks operate at varying hours. Follow their individual pages for more information at The Yard website. The trucks at The Yard include: Chock Full Of Cheese, Lulamae's Cajun Cuisine, 808 Island Grindz, Taqueria mi Lindo Nayarit, Mama Lama Mobile Kitchen, You Da Man Noodle Man, and Sabor los Catrachos.

DELICIOUS FOOD IS JUST STEPS AWAY

It doesn't take too much walking to check out Downtown Temple and find The Yard Food Truck Plaza. The Yard is an easy walk from major downtown businesses like Treno Pizzeria & Taproom and the Santa Fe Depot. This unique food truck setup is a perfect excuse to get out and discover more of the downtown district. With delicious food options ranging from authentic Mexican cuisine to Hawaiian, Greek, American, and Cajun cuisines, there's plenty to enjoy. The weather may be heating up but so is our food game.

Guide to National Food Truck Day

Temple's food truck plaza, The Yard, is a local attraction in the downtown district where many food trucks take up residency. This food truck plaza is an excellent source of local food and good times.

WHAT IS NATIONAL FOOD TRUCK DAY?

The National Food Truck Day celebration features live music, yard games, and delicious food from local food trucks.

WHEN IS NATIONAL FOOD TRUCK DAY?

National Food Truck Day takes place on June 30. The special event will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.

WHERE IS THE YARD LOCATED?

The Yard Food Truck Plaza is located at 212 S. Main St. The food truck plaza is just a short walk from major attractions and restaurants like Treno Pizzeria & Taproom and Lenna Lane.

WHERE CAN GUESTS PARK?

Guests can park on street-side parking or in public parking lots throughout the downtown district.

WHAT TO EXPECT

National Food Truck Day will be full of fun activities, performances, and great food. Planning to stay for the duration of the event? Make sure to pack a few essentials with you before you go. While The Yard does have several picnic tables and seating options, it's an excellent idea to bring a lawn chair or two.

Summer has arrived, and hot temperatures are here to stay It’s all fun and games until the temperatures hit 105 Temple has plenty of water features that will keep you outdoors and cooled off all summer long.

WATER PARKS

Temple is home to Lions Junction Family Water Park. With splash pads and a splash zone, this water park has amenities that even the littlest of children can enjoy. The water park also features a three-story slide, pool, and lazy river Let all your cares float away as you relax on the lazy river today

Summer Fun Water Park is another great water park located a short drive away in Belton Summer Fun features Adult Night events where guests can enjoy live music and enjoy a night at the park free of children.

MAKE A SPLASH

Ferguson Park, Jaycee Park, Miller Park, and West Temple Park each have splash pads that are fun for the whole family, but especially the children. All splash pads are open until October 2. Each park's splash pad features obstacles that visitors can walk through or around to get splashed by the water There's nothing like a fun splash zone to keep you cool this summer.

POOL TIME

There are several outdoor and indoor pools in Temple that families can enjoy this summer The pools are affordable and provide the opportunity for children and adults of all ages to jump in the water and cool off on a hot day. For more information about aquatics and pools, visit templeparkscom

SANTA FE PLAZA FOUNTAINS

The fountains are a gorgeous addition to the Santa Fe Plaza in the downtown district People of all ages love to race through the fountains while they are enjoying an event at the plaza or just stopping by to take a splash Fountain Hours: 7 AM to 9 AM; 11 AM to 1 PM; 3 PM to 4 PM; 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM

LEISURE ON BELTON LAKE

Belton Lake offers many access points and boat ramps for boating, fishing in designated areas, and swimming Visitors can rent boats, kayaks, or paddleboards at Frank's Marina For more fun activities at the lake, BLORA is an outdoor recreation area offering activities and fun for everyone.

TEMPLE MARKETS

The West Temple Park Farmer’s Market will host market days on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 AM to 12 PM. Located at 121 Montpark Rd. This market is a much-needed stop on your tour of Bell County’s best farmers' markets.

The Downtown Temple Farmers Market offers another great opportunity to sample your soon-to-be favorite local farmers’ fruits and vegetables. This special event is held on the second Saturday of each month in the City Hall Parking Lot.

BELTON MARKET

SALADO MARKET

The Barrow Brewing Co. Market is open for the season from April through September. These events are held on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM. What’s more, the adults in your group can stop in and sample some local craft beers as you walk around, enjoy the day, and see what the vendors have to offer.

CENTRAL TEXAS FARMERS MARKET

The Central Texas Farmers Market is held on Monday, May 29 from 9 AM to 3 PM. This semi-annual event boasts over 40 vendors. With activities for everyone, the Central Texas Farmers Market is the perfect family-friendly event. Enjoy learning about the bees found on the Walker Honey Farm or spend the day with your pets as Walker Honey Farm allows leashed dogs on the grounds.

Farmers markets allow visitors the opportunity to spend the day surrounded by the delicious smell of locally grown produce and enrich themselves in the flavors that commercial quality produce can’t replicate. Enjoy your weekends with a day in the sun and a taste of Temple.

The Lions Park Disc Golf Course terrain is moderately hilly and wooded. There are twenty-one holes on this course and its a great option for anyone who wants to play for a few hours, have a great time, and experience different course terrains.

HERITAGE PARK

Heritage Park is located in Belton. This course has eighteen holes and mixed terrain.

SOUTH TEMPLE PARK

The South Temple Park is an 18hole course featuring wooded terrain and mostly flat surfaces.
