Teams may be moved from their league of choice, at the discretion of the Adult Sports Department, should it be deemed beneficial to the CARD softball program as a whole. Prior team history and records will be considered upon league creation. Spring league champions MAY be moved up to a higher league for the subsequent season if deemed appropriate. Teams that struggle in a given league may also be moved down. Our goal is to facilitate proper league placement over the course of time. While you may not consider yourself a “B” or “C” level team, you may be one of the top teams playing on that evening, making it necessary that you play in a higher (or lower) league.
Come out and spend some time on the courts in our Open Gym Basketball & Volleyball programs. Participants must be 18 years of age or older. Provide your own ball and pay $3.00 at the door. All days and times are subject to change. Please check updated times and dates at www.teamsideline.com/chico

FAQ’s:
Q: How do I sign my child up? A: To add your child to the after school program waiting list, please visit www.chicorec.com/waitinglist. We will contact you once there is a spot open for your child. Many schools have little or no waiting lists; however, CARD recommends you put your child on the waiting list when they are 2 years old to help ensure you will have a spot when they enter school.
Q: Do I have to put my child on the waiting list each year? A: No. Once you put your child on the waiting list, they stay on until they are offered a spot in the program. Please make sure to contact us to update your phone number if it changes.
Q: Does my child have to attend every day? A: No. The program is for your benefit and you may use it as you feel necessary. The fee for the program is a flat rate fee. CARD does not prorate for days not attended.
“
My child always looks forward to the CARD After School Program and is even disappointed to leave when I come pick her up. The staff is always engaged with kids and appears to truly enjoy their work. I am grateful for this program and all of the activities for the kids, especially homework help. Thanks also for the very reasonable price!

CARD’s preschool programs feature a designated classroom and staff that specialize in toddlers. Each program will promote an all-inclusive, positive, educational environment that will set your child up to succeed. How do register for a Preschool Program? Choose the class that is the appropriate age and level for your child. If there room in the class, you will be able to register immediately online or at the CARD Office at 545 Vallombrosa Ave. If the class is full, you will be placed on a waitlist and will be contacted if a spot opens up. How do payments work? The fee for each class is due the last day of the month prior. If payment is received on or after the 1st of the month, the fee increases by $10. Payments can be made online, in person at the CARD office, or through automatic payments.
Instill a lifelong understanding of beat, rhythm, melody, pitch, coordination, and an overall appreciation for music in our toddler music class. Plus, there is the added benefit of additional bonding time with your child. Mommies or Daddies are required to stay and be a part of your child’s musical journey. Apollo School of Music, 936 Mangrove Avenue.
Where can I find more information? Check out our Toddler pages online at: www.chicorec.com/preschools
Our Time Together (18-35 months old) This class is formatted as a parent/child class with the goal of giving parents an opportunity to bond, meet other parents that have children the same age as theirs and provide parent support. Our Time Together can be an exciting and fun opportunity for your child to improve current skills, learn new skills, make friends, and have fun. This is also an opportunity for us to create a parenting community and share development milestones. During the toddler years, your child will make huge strides physically, intellectually, and emotionally, whether it’s learning to use the potty or stacking blocks. Something to observe in this program is how your child plays adjacent to other children in the playgroup. This cooperative social interaction is called parallel play and helps children begin language development, build confidence, and form relationships. Your child will increasingly learn to share and become aware of other’s emotions, as well as learn cause and effect through trial and error of adjusting and solving problems in play. Nature School is a first learning experience in nature. It is a drop-off program designed for Pre K, TK and Kindergartners. Children learn about nature, letters, numbers, colors and shapes through crafts, songs, games, animal visits and guided exploration of the park. Each class has a different theme. All children should be potty trained and ready for an experience away from their family. Our teachers are happy to help facilitate “goodbyes” as is often needed with this age. For optimum learning, a full year of participation is encouraged. Instructor: Joy Mefford. Chico Creek Nature Center, Tucker Hall. No class: 12/24-1/2 & 3/17-3/19.
